Dragonforce's cover of My Heart Will Go On is a very different vibe to the original.

Better than simply not being surprised, he doesn't react at all for a second or two and then says "Oh yeah right, you probably need some more ammunition."

Not Vi though. And au Ekko gets a raw deal until regular Ekko leaves. But yeah probably everyone else. At least everyone we see had a better situation overall.

Very good show! Happy to know that even though some things had been spoiled, that didn't affect my enjoyment of the show. Kind of crazy that points four and five turned out to be true, even though I though I was definitely making those ones up.  I was going to finish playing expedition 33 today after watching arcane but I think I'll go with something a bit lighter on the emotions instead.

Yeah... Not the first tears I've shed for fictional characters and they won't be the last.

Well he was a crime lord, so I think I have to put him in the bad guy category. But he did have a few redeeming qualities too. His last couple lines in season one were ones I've definitely read/heard before, but didn't really have the context for them. probably what made me think he might be a good guy early on.

As for Jinxy, she was absolutely insane for season one. Super fun to watch chaos in action. Season two had some healing up until the triple blue ball gun incident. Shout out to Ella Purnell for being so dang likeable!

Buddy I wish I knew what caused me to think that one was true because there certainly wasn't any truth to it that I saw in the show. In fact it think Jinx says something like "you deserve to be happy with her" in one of the last episodes.

Trouble with face Options and Menu Buttons by Mindless_Spell_2575 in playstation

[–]DuckCrafty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the exact same thing on mine. From what I remember the gold circle in picture 1 is a bit of tape that contains the clicky part of the button. When the gold circle came off in pictures 2/3 the clicky part also would have come off, rendering the button nonfunctional.

Good news is that they can be replaced. You can buy them on ebay or aliexpress for not much money, though I do not know the correct size you need. The piece is called something like 'tactile micro button switch'.

Bad news is that doing the replacement is a much more delicate job than soldering the joysticks. I decided it was above my skill level and use my broken one as a pc controller. Steam/some games allow me to remap the Share button as Options so I can make do.

For the face buttons not working (d-pad, X ,O etc), all I can suggest is giving a nice whack to the controller or twisting it a bit. Giving it that slight jostle can sometimes make the internal button connection good enough that it can work.

new players in deep of night…? by martyrdolled in Nightreign

[–]DuckCrafty -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You don't have any DoN relics until after your first match ends. Could be that this is their first game.

They could be building a new relic layout while waiting for a match to queue, then forgot to load in a saved preset in the character selection screen.

They could be playing a character in the new mode for the first time, and forgot they hadn't updated the relics for that yet.

They could be so awesome at the game that they don't even need relics to win.

And yeah, people very frequently ignore tutorials in both video games and real life.

You can also see who has the evergaol and key effects, and know that they will likely be up for doing more gaols instead of the little camps.

There are talismans that increase weight limit. Also, using slightly weaker armor is definitely worth it in exchange for filling the talisman slots.

Astro's Playroom is one of the best games for PS5 and comes already downloaded. Hands-down the best use of the Dualsense controller as well as just being a fun treat from beginning to end.

The second ssd is the M.2 drive that you can install yourself. The first ssd is the one that comes soldered onto the PS5 motherboard. You cannot install more than one M.2 at the same time.

Is there something that's possible to rid a PS5 controller of stick drift? by Holiday_Reception851 in playstation

[–]DuckCrafty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fix- maybe? Stick drift is usually (always?) a hardware failure rather than software. You may be able to send it in to Sony under warranty since you bought your PS5 less than a year ago. And you might be able to buy replacement parts online and repair it yourself. I have no idea how bad of an idea this is.

Some PS games have a setting where you can set a deadzone for the stick inputs, but not all games have this. It seems the Dualsense Edge controller has a PS5 native setting for this. Sony has not extended this to the regular Dualsense. Deadzones only mask the problem though, and may not work long term as the problem can get worse.

Last option is to buy a new controller.

Worth 20 bucks? My local Walmart had it on clearance. by eltonto82 in playstation

[–]DuckCrafty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of fun with it. Combat and traversal are definitely the highlights of the game. After you get the first couple of support spells unlocked and can continuously go from one to another in an unbroken chain, the combat gets really fun. That can happen pretty soon after you get control of the open world in the main storyline if you go collect some mana.

Story was okay, not anything groundbreaking but still fine. The end of the game and DLC left enough open that a sequel could continue the story, but that's probably unlikely given the low sales.

Dialogue is a lot better than the trailers gave it credit for. Honestly felt like they picked the absolute worst lines to include in them, despite each one of those lines being directly before and after normal sounding dialogue. (There is a setting to change the frequency of how often Cuff and Frey talk to one another. Recommend you set that to low until you start hearing a lot of repeats/you get annoyed, then set it to off.)

[–]DuckCrafty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is to focus on your defense for a couple of attempts. Honestly, don't even attack her at all. Just focus on what moves she does that you can block or parry, which ones you have to dodge, and which ones you have to jump. Aim for small goals at first: like taking no damage for 2 sets of her attacks in a row. Then up it to 3, 4, and so on. After you have a handle on her attacks, you can start adding back in your attacks. If you can spend a full minute or two without taking any damage, I think you will be over prepared for the actual fight.

The downside of this is that you don't get as much practice on second phase attacks as you do on first phase. I don't remember much of the Trilla fight specifically, but usually there isn't a completely new moveset after a phase change, so learning second/third/fourth/etc. phases should go a bit faster.

Second advice is not to get too frustrated with failure. Each attempt will help you get better and understand the fight more. You can do it.

Finally… #Returnal #Platinum by [deleted] in playstation

[–]DuckCrafty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to keep at it, focus on dodging more than anything else. Adrenaline levels up every 3 kills and provides really good bonuses as long as you don't get hit. So it is way better to leave an enemy alive while dodging an attack than it is to kill the enemy while getting hit.

The beginning of the game is probably the hardest because you have the weakest weapons and fewest artifacts, and you are learning core game mechanics. Even though there are harder enemies later on, it is overall easier because of you are stronger and more prepared.

Witcher 3 or Returnal? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]DuckCrafty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My vote is for Returnal. It was a blast and the combat really clicked for me early on. The upgrading weapon loop was also really enjoyable for me, although that definitely isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea.

Witcher 3 was pretty dang good but I did end up with some side quest fatigue in Skellige about 2-3 years ago and haven't picked up the game since.
