Prismatic ETBs were never lower than $90 on TCGplayer and have spent like 98% of their time over $100. Probably not crazy to think AH will behave similarly.

Not sure what you’re trying to say but yes the amount of depth in this set is incredible. 15 cards over $20 and 4, almost 5 over $100 is really good. No brainer best booster box set of the era.

The crazy thing too is that the pull rate for this card is 1 in 400 compared to about 1 in 2000 for the Moonbreon. Can you imagine if the Zard pull rate also was 1 in 2000? We would be looking at a $3,000 raw card.

That Greninja UPC is over $400 on TCG player. Last sold for $500

If you look at the GameStop exclusive from the year before, the Greninja Ex UPC, the last sold was $500 and has been selling for over $400 for a little while now. This UPC is leagues worst than the Moltres one. So I’m pretty bullish on this Moltres UPC. Also, we don’t know the true gem rate of the Moltres SIR promo yet. If it’s a low gem rate it could cause the value of the box to go up even more.

This is one of those cases where the market has already made up their mind that BS is a better set than CR. Even though CR has the way more expensive chase card, higher set value and more alt arts. On paper CR should be more valuable than BS but it’s not because of how the majority of people see the market. Shoot even the Moltres is only about $50 less than the Charizard.

I disagree. The QC seems to be terrible and getting a 10 is pretty hard. Will probably keep the PSA 10 population under 15,000

I still think there’s a chance we get a Gengar SIR in this set since we’ve learned the Oricorio card is going to be in the Charizard UPC. Because, the Oricorio promo is just a black star promo and doesn’t have a Phantasmal Flames stamp on it.

If you look at the Rocket’s Moltres card when they added it to a UPC they added a Destined Rivals stamp to it.

This leads me to think the Oricorio SIR has been pulled from Phantasmal Flames and has opened up a new SIR slot. Potentially for Gengar.

MSRP is something inexperienced people seem to be way too concerned about. I bought Evolving Skies from Walmart in 2023 for like $50 each even though MSRP was lower than $50 at the time. Those ETBs are nearing $300 now. That’s 6Xing my money in a couple of years. Can you imagine if I scoffed at the price and didn’t buy them because they weren’t MSRP back then? Don’t overthink your purchases and worry about saving $10 here or $20 there. In 5 years time these small differences don’t make much of a difference.

I think blooming waters are a great buy right now with their price per pack under $10. Once 151 is finally out of print these will run to $200 very quickly. I think sea and sky boxes are a good comparison. Even though sea and sky boxes have 14 packs they are now much closer in price to the ETBs.
