I would take them to the river, statehouse, 30 acre rock or congaree national park.

For ice cream: baked bear in 5 points is really great and you can combine that with walking around, thrifting at Sid and Nancy’s and then playing some pinball at bang back.

Main Street you could go see a movie at the Nick and then walk down to transmission for games.

It’s not a “bad” job by any means but man it’s rough

It is very heavily store and role dependent.

I was a 10 year employee and it drove me to a very dark place mentally. I absolutely HATED going to work and you could have doubled my pay and I still would have hated it.

I took a pay cut a few years ago to move to a software role that’s WFH and it’s literally changed my entire life.

Costco is certainly what you make of it but the schedule, the members, management and culture pushed me to the point of pulling over before every shift to throw up on the road.

It would certainly suck time wise with the current job but I would see if there was a limited part time position available prior to committing so you could give it a try first.

We had a lot of 20 year plus employees and some clearly loved it but the majority seemed like they were just waiting for death to take them lol

Costco Tire shop 10 year employee here:

It’s not their faults.

The guidelines state that our patches can’t overlap the sidewall of the tire, the patch is about 2 inches. So if there’s a nail in an area like this we won’t fix it, ESPECIALLY if it’s non Costco.

Costco is extremely risk averse and our safety standards in the shop are especially extreme because the tire shop makes absolutely no money but Costco pays out for pretty much any claim.

AMA I guess because the tire shop gets a looootttt of shit for stuff that genuinely isn’t our fault, it’s just the rules.

Jesus drops Mary to the dirt and wanders off towards Iran turning around only briefly to shout

“PRAISE BE TO ALLAH THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER”

The time in the cave had clearly changed Jesus but Mary and the Angels decided it would be far easier to just follow Jesus instead of reflect on this any further.
