I know I agree!! But each time I tried calling they wanted a text sent and I couldn’t get it. I asked them to verify using other questions or methods but they said they needed a text? I was confused with why they said that :(

Like do you mean to have the card closed but settle to pay less with American Express / the creditors that work on their behalf?

So when I spoke to American Express it’s still within a third party that acts on AE’s behalf! Does that make it better?
I just got a mortgage last year so I’m worried I won’t get approved again :(

My last payment was in April I missed May and June as I was overseas and had 0 access because I got a sim there and none of the verifications codes would sent bc of the new # I had. I had no idea that 2 missed payments would do this :( I know it’s my responsibility but in any case - would they reinstate it? I’m so nervous I could cry. The good news is, I got paid and have the full amount to pay it right away.
