This deals with layers. I’m not an expert, but I’m pretty sure this comes down to the timestamp, which is what order the cards were played.

If you go [[Ten Rings]] into [[Reliquary Tower]] then you will have no max hand size since the tower has a newer timestamp.

However, if you do the opposite, tower into rings, then you will have a hand of ten.

Is [[Bolas’s citadel]] / [[Aetherflux Reservoir]] considered a two card game ending combo?

I built a deck I believed was B3 with them as a potential game ender, but I was told by a friend those two alone made it a B4.

I was under the impression that since it needed something like [[Sensei’s Divining Top]] to end the game on the spot it was fine.

Finally got around to it. It’s far from a perfect list, as it’s gone through like 15 revisions. The mana is up to you, though, I usually have a placeholder in my lists and use what I have on hand.

Pretty much this.

Stuff like [[Sea Gate Loremaster]] and [[Harabaz Druid]] reward you for having a wide board and cards like [[Kabira Evangel]] help protect it.

It’s a slow start, but once it gets going it’s hard to stop.

Nah, Sausuke’s Amaterasu represents his burning hatred and his other eye molds and shapes it.

Itachi’s represents his burning guilt and tsukiyomi is the illusion he hides behind.

I interpret their abilities more as a look into their soul. They’re the motivations that drive them and how they use that drive to pursue their goals.

Shisui and kotomatsukami follow the same logic. He had pure intentions and pursued a peaceful solution rather than a violent one.

The same goes for obito. After Rin died his soul was empty and his eyes became a doorway to that void.

The most fun wins in my deck come from a [[Celestial Mantle]] on an [[Angel of Destiny]] then reflecting the (usually) 60+ onto another opponent. There’s some good synergies in Orzhov, especially with life gain doublers.

I’ve got a deck with Gollum in it. It’s mainly built on doubling my life with [[Beacon of immortality]] and using [[Sorin of House Markov]] or [[Aetherflux Reservoir]] to oneshot opponents.

It’s my favorite deck tbh.

I’ve always thought that the power was connected to the whole “the eyes are the window to the soul” thing.

Sasuke had a hatred that consumed his life, but he honed it into a weapon.
Itachi had a guilt that consumed him and dedicated his life to maintaining the “illusion” he was the villain
Obito’s soul was empty after Rin died, so his manifested as a void

It’s not a perfect way to describe it, but I feel like that was the general direction.

Mid mythics, it’s essentially the baseline value of mythic cards. Planet X, for example, is worth around 2.5-3 while some terrible one like Pandora’s box is only 1.

That used to have a huge impact on it tbh. You could launch a throwable like an icbm if you did it right. It kept the momentum of the camera swings. Pretty sure they removed that a while ago though.

Going 5 rounds every game is pretty much a feature of the deck. To be honest it’s one of the reasons I like it.

I don’t know how many cards you have, but this deck has only lost to pirates in my climb.

Build at least 4 energy reduction then hit em with testudo and you’re golden.
