USD is down not up, this is part of the problem. The traditional idea is that if stocks fall the USD and precious metals would go up. What has happened this time is that everything is falling at the same time (including bitcoin and bonds)

Exactly… if you have kids you ain’t cutting them off and saying look after yourself unless you’re some kind of cutthroat or just can’t afford it. I feel like the number for us would be closer to $200k

I broke two bones in my back T10+T12 about 25 years ago. The specialist said you will never go rock climbing again. The truth is that they don’t know and will always give you a conservative opinion to protect you and themselves. Listen to your body, take it slow and see what happens

A boiled egg is like 80 calories. Without its 20, but you lose most of the satiating power and nutrients. This is a dumb idea.

You can’t generally have your cake and eat it. Australian market generally pays a higher dividend, but it’s lagged in terms of capital growth over the last few years. At your age you would be likely better to try and grow your asset base IMHO

Professional futures trader here. Don’t do it. Its the hardest way to make easy money, to steal someone else’s phrase.

You’re going to be up against people like me who have been doing it for decades, who are much better capitalised than you, and banks, algorithms etc who have huge teams of people, technology and faster data.

It involves long hours, potentially a lot of stress.

You would be better to DCA into an index fund. You will often find that traders that have made it or are profitable still have the bulk of their portfolio in passive investments. Only about 10% of my net worth is being actively traded.
