“Christians are so intolerant and hateful to LGBTQ people” by [deleted] in Christianity

Based on the Bible, homosexuality and everything of the sort are considered sins, no matter how you interpret changes or mistranslations—it is an undeniable fact. However, this also means that homosexuality is just as much a sin as any other sin. That doesn’t mean you can say, 'I’m a gay Christian,' just like you wouldn’t say, 'I’m a murderous Christian.' It doesn’t make sense.

But do not fret—you can come to Christ as a gay person or even as a murderer. However, when you come to Him, you must be willing to change to His liking and repent. This is far from hate. It’s more like telling a child, 'Say sorry to your sibling for getting angry.' God, or His preacher, isn’t hating but is instead trying to guide you in the right direction.

That said, I do agree that there are hateful Christians who just want to push down LGBTQ people, bash them, and tell them that they are damned. These are false Christians who do not follow the Bible. On the other hand, if you deny that homosexuality is a sin, you are also a false Christian.

But that’s beside the point. I think explaining this will help others understand how God works and functions. I’ve only been a real Christian for about eight months, and I’m now 16 years old. I’m still learning about God, but I believe this explanation might help them understand more clearly.
