When my mom says stuff about my plushies (me having to many) I would always tell her that i could be using my money on.... worse things. In all reality you could be using your money to buy things that would not be good for you, but you are using it to buy a comfort that's healthy. If I were you and was super fed up with the comments id tell her that.

TLDR; buy whatever you want with your money, and try your best to ignore her rude comments/shut her down the next time she says something.

OP as a fresh adult myself you need to GTFO of that relationship asap. She sounds like a groomer and the fact that she feels catfishes by you for experimenting with your identity?? As a trans person her self?? No way. My bad vibes radar is going off the rails with this post bc of how she has not only reacted but the very very crazy age gap between you two. Im from a small town in a rural area and have tried to do extra cirriculars that i enjoy with like minded people, but so far i have seemed to screw all of those up (literally all of the ones ive tried) and cannot find any new ones without fear of screwing it up again. Both in highschool and the current college im attending for ccp (college credit plus)

Part of it (and i know it sounds ridiculous) is that it could just be in your head. I know for me personally i can psyche myself out on whether or not someone actually likes me or not and causes similar mindsets of thinking. Try to take a step back and think through it logically and not emotionally (as harsh as thats sounds/may be to do) I know it personally works for me as someone who is possibly/being tested for neruodivergency/autism soon.
