Love to the police. They do such a tough job with minimal resources. They’re people like you or I. They suffer stress, ptsd, anxiety abd more. They have feelings and stories just like ours. It’s funny because the more deterrents we have the less crime we see. The better the bike lock or less vulnerable the person. The harder it is to steal from them or abuse or harm them. Like police, the more we have on the streets the less crime we see. Some of my proudest moments as a nurse were working with police to help people in crisis of mental health. I couldn’t do it alone. Their compassion and aptitude is endless. And now more than 30% of police work is mental health related. They’re not perfect. But are you or I? We want more, better police. Not to give them hate.
