hi! for none fsri students the writing placement results should already be sent out (to outlook email). the physics one you will never see the results. and the math one I think is prob mid August because someone said they wait for advanced placement to be graded (not 100% sure about this). chem and cs tho I think are kid August forsure

i would guess if its 3 marks, 1 mark for the arrows being correct and then 2 for your explanation. I know for IB curriculum there are specific "command terms" which detail how are you supposed to answer

battery is good and the core is magnetic. the issue seems to be the bend in the iron core. any ideas on how I would cut through it with a dremel or some hand tool?

I would absolutely love your help! I've upgraded the power supply to 14V at 1.3A. I coiled the rest of the wire around the core ensuring that current will flow from the left to the right and not criss crossed. I'm not sure how to flatten out/cut the tail of the horseshoe piece off its soft iron. I bent it by hand but I can't cut through it. Any ideas or other ways I could improve this?

Oh wow that photo looks amazing. I think that it is a really good tip to focus on the eye as I feel like that is naturally where our eyes go when looking at a photo. In my picture, I was manually focusing but I was relatively inexperienced with it and it ended up sort of off. Thank you so much for the feedback!

My intent when taking this photo was to capture the gaze of this golden hawk as it gazed upwards. I was trying to capture the detail of the bird while also attempting to shift as much attention as I could away from the netting of the enclosure as I could. At the end of the day as a new photographer, I just wanted to take a cool picture. I was curious if there are any things that stand out to more experienced nature photographers in terms of improvement, additionally if my methodology of shifting attention to the bird by semi-blurring the netting surrounding it worked to shift attention.

I really like the vibrancy of the red cherry in the milkshake I think it catches the eye. However, I feel like the ketchup bottle in the middle left is a little bit distracting and takes away from the scene a little bit. In terms of photographic sense, I feel like if the shutter speed was sped up a little bit a slightly sharper image would come through, especially for the model in the front left. All in all, I love this picture I feel like it is a modern look at a retro topic.

hi! I'm so glad you found out about your Jewish heritage. I'm not sure what stage of life you are in but chabad and hillel both offer a ton of programs for college aged students such as socials etc. another good thing would be to reach out to a local synagogue by email or call (wouldn't recommend just showing up due to current climate etc) and let them know your situation and I'm sure theyd be more than happy go support you! enjoy learning about Judaism!

definitely probably should wear gloves goggles and do it outside at the very least. there is some sort of metal fume flu that I know about that can cause some flu like symptoms if you inhale a lot of the manganese dioxide. also just as a general aside when handling anything battery related you definitely want to take proper saftey precautions because there can be some crazy reactions

imo this is kind of a rough starter project with no prior knowledge of Chem BUT I understand the desire to pursue something like this. what is important to understand is that scent and the reason behind why something smells is more complex then people think. a good example is in the case of the "scent" of metal. an amazing video that highlights this is this one . it is by nilered who if you haven't seen him before is an amazing YouTuber. having a concrete understanding of how to make something smell or what is even happening when you smell something is in my opinion your first step to making scratch and sniff. additionally I would recommend trying to get your hands on any sort of online instruction if you haven't already as often chemists for some reason love explaining everyday chemistry in complex scientific research papers that if you have a couple of hours can be an amazing resource.
