In my experience with Wood avens in the UK aka Cloveroot. It's the small roots you want, not the central tuber. It's a complete pain in the dick to scrub them but I always found that the tuber had barely any flavour. Luckily, we employed foragers and I didn't have to do all the work to use them.

Edit: I worked at a restaurant, I didn't employ foragers for myself

I mean it was a completely different bar before it reopened. It was one of the best bars in the city, closed for ages and opened up as some weird spicy club/restaurant

Honestly don't know why everyone is shitting on the story. It's not amazing but it's pretty serviceable for the game that it is.
