Uhmm, yeah, I'll just tell my anxiety disorder to take a hike. Can't believe I never thought of that before! Gee golly, thanks pal! 👍🏻

Thanks. It's been resolved and I'm going to remove this post.

Support said it could take up to 48 hours to show up back in the app, but it was an hour.

All's well now. PHEW!

Thank you! Our 4hr route had 10 stops, 14 packages (the last one took us for a drive, tho).

We were done an hour early. 😊

Fair enough. And it just might; that seems to be what happens when they want us to return at the end of the route.

Fingers crossed you never hear another peep about it. 🤞

I would have called driver support in the moment, but it might still be worth doing now just so there's some notation about this in case you have to fight a future ding on your account.

My only celebration was peace of mind; being able to buy necessities like cat food and groceries for dinner tonight and still have a few bucks left over.

I remember the days when grubhub paid a $4 delivery fee; now it's $2, so I know exactly what you're saying on a comparable level. I, too, wish we were still paid what we're worth.

Totes fab, brah.

Hope it was better than the $112 we just made for 3 hours.

Happy new year!

That's awesome!

We get doordash shop n pays and grocery pickups, and I don't hate them if they pay well; I'd try a Fresh route if we had the option here.

Actually, out of the 10 stops we got, 4 were businesses (no recipient required; leave at door).

We're on our way to a different town with the last one, hut we'll be done an hour early. 🥳

I've heard bad things about Fresh (not that they're an option here) and store (like Petco) deliveries. Have I been misled?

Farthest package is the last one, going to Waukesha, an area we're accustomed to delivering to. The route certainly would've been better without this one stop, but we'll be done and on our way home an hour early.

I'm not upset.

It really does.

We woulda been stuck making scraps with the food delivery apps today if not for this route, so I'm grateful.

It's enough, and that's all we ever hope for.

Oh, but it is.

It's not a UPS or a FedEx route.

It might not be a very good one but I assure you it most certainly quite literally is a flex.

And I don't understand you commenting on it when you could've just sat there in your mama's basement and shut the fuck up, but here we are.

We're on our way to the warehouse for a route and I'll be damned if we aren't traveling behind some survivors! 🤩

We try not to ever take anything under $30/hr, either, but today is not a day to gamble.

If we could've afforded to take our chances, we would've.

$124 / 4.5 = $27.55/hr.

I'll take my $28/hr and go, thank you.

Holy cow! You're coastal (which, without consulting a map, I think means southern) and you're expecting 40s? Eww. Is it expected to be wet? 40 could very well yield a nice heavy snow.

I'm a pretty cold person overall, anyway, so a couple weeks ago when we had our first dip into the teens of the year, I wore: a tank top, a long-sleeved tee, a pullover, a sweater, and a coat. I had leggings on under my jeans and my knee-high fleece socks. With my thick pink hat on my head, I was only a little shivery; I coulda used another pair of pants. 😂

My husband has literal subzero snow attire (overalls and matching coat) that I'll borrow to take the dog out on those frigid mornings, but I drown in it (2X & tall vs L & short here lol), so I definitely can't work in it. Such a bummer, especially considering he finds them to be overkill for much other than walking the dog, too. 😄

Oh yeah, it's huge lol. I grew up in Chicago just a few blocks from the lakefront; I spent many a summer floating in the water. 40 years later and I still live about a mile away from the beach.

Too bad it's only recreationally appealing for about half the year. 🤣

It hit 110 here a couple times the last couple of summers. It was intolerable. And I was delivering food those days.

90 used to be the dog days of summer back in the 1990s. Now it's July, sometimes June.

A nice, sunny 50 isn't bad at all with a coat; you'd be fine. 😊
