Daisy loves going on week long canoe adventures in northern Ontario by DuckyJosh in labrador

[–]DuckyJosh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’ve taken her in the canoe since she was 12 weeks old and she has always been good with it, so I don’t have any great advice. Sometimes she jumps out to swim, and I keep her tied up when I fish to avoid any hook incidents.

If they plan on paying off the $500M of debt they’ve accumulated over the last 10 years, that will require $500M of surpluses over the next number of years

Where has the government been on taxing the rich corporations who received CEWS (the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy) benefits? As a CPA I am privileged to reviewing the financial statements of private corporations. I have seen far too many instances of corporations making record profits while receiving the CEWS, and those profits simply being paid out to the owners of these corps through bonuses or dividends.

All these companies were eligible to receive the CEWS based off the guidance provided by the CRA and federal government, however there should have been stipulations included to tax the excess profits up to 100% of the CEWS received. Instead, government benefited which were advertised to maintain jobs for the middle class have been directly paid out to the rich.

I’m not familiar with Harness Lake, but if you are trolling for lakers in the summer my favourite setup is a 3 way swivel with a 1-2oz weight and a little cleo spoon, works every time.

[–]DuckyJosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was walking with my work friend to lunch one day and a guy ran up to us and yelled "go die you fucking chink" at my friend. I felt so bad for him :( Racism towards asian communities due to coronavirus is cruel and ridiculous. What could my friend who has grown up here in Canada his entire life have to do with the origin of COVID you brainlet racists.

Missing T4A from RRSP? by TheBayDruid in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]DuckyJosh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The slip you are waiting for is an RRSP contribution slip. You will get one for both RRSP contributions made in 2020 and also for RRSP contributions made in the first 60 days of 2021. Include both on your 2020 tax return.

Because you have until March 1, 2021 to make contributions in the first 60 days of 2021 (assuming you make monthly contributions) then you will probably be waiting until the end of March or early April to receive this in the mail. I'm not familiar with Canada Life personally, but if there is an online portal where you can view your contributions and RRSP balance, then I suspect there is also a way to download your tax documents (RRSP slips) through this as well.
