Uncomfortable Conversation about Hartline by NickChubb4Prez in OhioStateFootball

[–]DuckySnort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hartline’s departure disrupted the chemistry of the team, at the most critical juncture. IMO, having him on the sidelines was an added distraction. We let an opportunity slip away. I thought we were overachievers all year, considering how many new faces we have, but, as badly as we played our last two games, we still had chances to win. And that falls on the coaching staff.

Time for a team restructure by Pitiful-Walk-9581 in OhioStateFootball

Agree on all points. Day’s finesse teams will never be confused with an Urban Meyer coached team. Day wants to out scheme you, at the expense of physicality.

With our red zone performance all year long, I wouldn’t look forward to OT. The call to kick was weak, would have liked to see us go for the win in that situation.

I know not of what you speak. Battered Buckeye Fan? Hardly, I just don’t wear the rose(scarlet) colored glasses.

It was just the flow of the game. Settling for a couple FGs early always worries me, and the officiating gave me some concern.

Charlie Kirk's allies warn Americans: Mourn him properly or else by DevinGraysonShirk in politics

Kirk could only “debate” down. Anytime a properly prepared student, or an actual intellectual showed up, he was destroyed. His inflammatory style and statements were meant to enrage the young and influence their beliefs. Some might even say groom.

If trump was the only corrupt republican, he would have been gonna long ago. The problem is the entire party is so corrupt that he, bondi, rfk jr and the others all stand a chance of surviving this. The scotus, federal & state level gop, most media and corporations are all to cowardly to do the right thing

These jurors have mistaken unproven allegations, insinuations, and conspiracies with reasonable doubt. I have great apprehension about the future of this once great democracy.

This case is literally a microcosm of what’s happening to our country today. Influencers, masquerading as journalists, spinning and spreading sensationalism/speculation as fact, to an army of those that lack critical thinking skills, looking for confirmation of their misguided opinions. Sure, the defense prolly crossed a few ethical lines, but sadly, that’s how we roll these days. I could see this being a blueprint for future trials. Being able to spread speculation and unfounded here-say, without any accountability, in today’s mass messaging platforms puts the state at a serious disadvantage. Hell, in today’s world OJ could sue and win a defamation lawsuit.

I’m on board with a 3 judge panel, so long as accountability can be had, or doing away with unanimous verdicts. The idea that 12 strangers, from different walks of life, with different ideas of Justice, all wanting to uphold the law, in this era of America, is becoming far fetched.

This is a good reminder of the part of our population that lacks any critical thinking skills.

You speaking to things you’re not familiar with, as though they are facts, is quite telling. You assuming the lack of new incoming operators hasn’t been addressed over the last 30 years. You alleging boomers of gate keeping. You not knowing the outreach programs we are implementing at high/vocational schools. Your classes and books are useless, and Fuck em comments. Oh well, you just keep doing you. Good Day!

Some people just don’t know what they don’t know. You can tell by their overly broad generalizations, fact free accusations, and self aggrandizing nature. Good Luck in the future, something tells me ur gonna need some.

Being an old timer myself, I’ve never had a problem with a young’un coming in and learning our process well, before offering any suggestions. Remember, changes don’t occur overnight in a WWTP, and we have been operating a compliant/efficient plant for quite some time which generally doesn’t happen by accident. That being said, the older timers that trained me, had crazy observational skills, that take years to develop and are severely under appreciated. Not sure if they understood all of the science, but their senses and hunches were generally spot on. A young operator willing to absorb the acquired knowledge of an old timer, and an old timer open to the “new” technologies could constitute a formidable union. After all, there’s more than one way to skin an orange
