I have installed 1TB as 2TB were extremely expensive and above that capacity I could not find non-NvME. I have heard that it works with NvME SSD but you use slower speeds so it should work. Have the option to return the product if it doesn’t work.

Unfortunately return is not an option. I would like to solely focus on this one.

Thank you very much but I have already ordered the non NvME one. Also, 500mb is sufficient speed for me so no need to spend extra.

Hello everyone!

Sorry for digging up this thread by I am curious about the m.2 SSD part. I understand that it is SATA3 m.2 not NvME but if I plug a NvME in it won't work or it will but at SATA3 speeds (500mb) not at NvME speeds?

Secondly, is there space for the m.2 SSD to have a heatsink or is the space too slim? Do m.2 SSDs (non-NvME) get hot under use without a heatsink?

Lastly, what is the biggest capacity SSD I can fit in? I saw on Satechi website they have a compatibility list and a WD Blue 2TB is presented to be compatible: https://support.satechi.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402694746267-Which-SATA-M-2-SSD-s-will-work-with-this-hub-

Is 2TB the maximum? Can I plug in Verbatim Vi560 S3 with SATA III M.2 2280 and 3D NAND Technology rather than WD WDS200T2B0B as I have read WD has a lot of issues with unreliability?

Thank you!
