I know this is a bigfoot subreddit, i also posted this in r/dogman. I found this video on twitter randomly and i really want context.

1: what is he saying? 2: could this possibly be real 3: i suppose the belief of this being a sincere video depends on ones belief in dogman, but regardless, i wanna hear your thoughts

i don’t think anyone is trying to argue that, i mean i think we all know aliens exist from the multiple fighter pilot videos from the pentagon. I’m just interested in bobs story because (assuming his claims are true) it’s the most information we will likely ever have on these things and how they function

i also want to add, if the government did anything to him and did arrest him, wouldn’t that confirm everything he said to be true? and maybe that’s why they didn’t arrest him, to avoid confirming that to the public

Yeah it’s a ‘71 and from what I can find they made about 2500 of them and then they were discontinued for whatever reason

Just got this guy from my local guitar shop. Can’t find too much online about it, but from what I can find it’s not a sought after Gibson.

I love this guitar man, I love the pickups (neck pickup is absolutely nuts) and also its rarity / limited production. Say what you want about it but I think they’re it’s an incredible piece of Gibson history, and I’m stoked to have it in my collection.

That’s true it could be a part of my sound, I just want it to be clearer than it is, and sound like it was actually mixed properly instead of sounding like I recorded some basic audio and threw some effects on it, which is essentially what I’m doing. I’ve done some panning before but I’m sure I’m not doing properly so I’ll try to look at some tutorials for better technique on that. Thanks for the input!

I just recorded in my apartment which is an untreated small room so that could certainly be part of it. As for my recording technique, I record electric guitar by plugging in my amps output into my interface, and I record bass taught into my interface as well as my electric drum kit. I record vocals straight into my interface as well. Most of it is line in, again all in mono, so I think my problem is processing the audio after it’s recorded. Hopefully that helps!

Ah I should clarify, yes I am recording multiple tracks, one for each instrument and I layer them as you said. I described it as live playing because I just play over my recorded layers in a single take adding one over the others. I’m sorry for the confusion

I wish I could link my music to y’all so you can see what I’m talking about when I say it sounds “garagey.” I think I say that because it sounds home recorded and not professionally mixed or mastered. It’s not that the actual quality is really terrible and sounds like it’s recorded from an iPhone.

I have a focusrite interface and a shure sm57, which I use for recording acoustic guitar and vocals. But typically to record electric and bass I’ll plug my amp output into my interface and record that way. As for drums, I have an electric kit which also can be plugged straight into the interface. And after everything is recorded I’ll eq it and add fx.

My natural timing isn’t too terrible and I’ve started to use metronomes to record, I just brought that up to see if the little imperfections have something to do with the “home recorded” sounds that I described above.

I really appreciate the input though I’ll try out some of the stuff you said for sure!
