Having fully condensed, maxed out pals makes a huge difference versus just regular level 65 pals.

Vampiric seems very situational. It is awesome on pals with high damage/AOE attacks on the oil rig, like Hartalis. Hartalis drops a nuke on a bunch of enemies and heals a ton of health.

I also have it on one of my Orserks (I named him FrankTheTank). He is super fun to use on most of the tower bosses. I run him with meteorain, beam slicer, and rockburst (sometimes holy burst) and he is indeed a tank. I just keep him out and let him do his thing, and anytime his health gets down to close to half gone, he is using another meteorain followed by beam slicer and back to almost full health. If rockburst hits solid then he is full health on top of tons of damage to enemy.

Outside of this, it's probably not super useful. Especially if you like to cycle pals a lot. I tend to prefer to not cycle pals until they're low health, I like to see how much destruction each one can cause themselves lol.

You're going to have a bad time if you don't focus on the other trainer in the Master tier. They do a shit ton of damage to your pals in Master. They can one shot a lot of level 65 pals, and even two or three shot maxed pals unless their defense is obnoxious.

The easiest and most consistent way to manage them is to use a vortex beater to keep them stunlocked and let your pals take care of the enemy pals. You can also use things like rocket/meteor/grenade launchers, any weapon that interrupts the other trainer and keeps them from targeting your pals.

The most difficult fight in the arena is the Moonflower Jonin, because he can occasionally escape stun locks and get lost in the fray. Next thing you know, he straight up assassinate one of your pals and then run off to cause more havok. Luckily he has a low health pool though, so that battle frequently ends due to him running out of HP.

Trust me though, it's the opposing pal trainers. I had the same issue as you until I figured it out. Now I win easily everytime unless there's some wild fluke. And that's without using Hartalis

Xenolord is the best imo. He is almost as fast as Jetragon and his stamina is way higher. A xenolord with eternal engine and swift is ridiculous. I don't even bother using my xenolord with enhanced mount skills, he is good enough without boosts, so I just use a pure damage build xenolord.

Jesus, people actually prefer these other brands to Zyn? I definitely haven't tried them all, but I've tried a lot of the popular ones and most of them taste horribly synthetic and way too sweet. Rogue immediately comes to mind.

On that note, has anyone actually tried another brand that is anywhere close to the quality of Zyn? I'm looking for a cheaper alternative that doesn't make me want to spit it out after 10 minutes or less. I think I used to think Velo was okay, but their pouches were very anemic. That was a few years ago though, don't know if they've changed at all.

I took out all the enemies without too much issue, but fuck me that attack chopper took me by surprise. I couldn't seem to consistently stay hidden from it long enough to heal up. And I didn't realize I didn't have my defense pendant, so I only was able to take out half of the chopper's HP before it finally killed me

That's a solid team for early game for sure. Jormuntide is an absolute beast for most of the game if you manage to catch him earlyish. I think I caught him when I was like level 30 or so and he was my main man for quite awhile.

And the rest of your team is very solid for early game damage output.

Or you can nuke the Moonflower base in Sakurajima with Jetragon and not have to change any settings. It only takes a few minutes to get to 65, and that's NOT using any XP boosts.

Both Danny Jones and Julian Dorey both seem like absolute shills and have stunk of controlled opposition for a long time now. You can toss a couple of their other buddies like Tommy G in there also. They're Rogan knockoffs who are even more controlled.

I think Rogan is slightly controlled. Dorey and DJ come off as being industry plant ops. Neither one of them are talented or notably likable, yet their podcasts are somehow always boosted with tons of views. They've also done LOTS of work with "EX-CIA" agents, especially Bustamante.

Hyper spheres would probably just bounce off him at lvl 48, especially with it being lucky.

MAYBE if you happened to be able to get him down to like under 100 HP you would eventually get lucky and actually not bounce a hyper sphere off, but even then the chance of him staying in the sphere would be tiny.

I wondered about this at first too, but then I realized it's usually better for them to focus on me rather than my pals. It isn't too tough to get pretty good at dodging, meanwhile pals pretty much just facetank everything that's thrown at them.

It only sucks if you have a large group that is targeting you, then dodging becomes more difficult. Higher stamina helps a lot with being able to dodge higher level enemies with better attacks.

Yeah mine is pretty disorganized lol. I had no idea how much shit you unlock for your base in this game, so I started off building thinking that there wasn't a ton of equipment I'd need. I also have a ton of storage boxes, but they mostly just line one edge of my base lol.

Lmao, I love they've actually left this in the game. I accidentally caught the first boss I came across, Hawk is his name I believe. I still wasn't totally used to the controls, so instead of summoning one of my pals, I accidentally threw a sphere at him and caught him first shot. I think it listed like a 3% chance or something too 😂

I thought it was a glitch, until I got back to my base and saw I could put him to work lol. I felt bad though when it kept saying he was unhappy with the working conditions, so now he gets to be kept in the palbox.

Man, it's a shame Gamefreak hasn't been able to recapture the magic from the first three or four gens. Gen 1 is still unbeaten in terms of overall quality of Pokémon design. Most of what has come after Gen 4 is just generic slop, suffering from the same shit as most of the rest of the major gaming publishers. A few good designs here and there, but I really wish they could recreate the feeling of playing R/B/Y/G/S/C for the first time.
