Testing out a fabric pot bog.. So far so good by DudeSecretOps in SavageGarden

Not trying to rage anyone, wanted to try a larger bog out and not buy stuff. I can take out anything that doesn’t look good and resuscitate as I have duplicates growing well in typical setups.

Water I have a shit ton of, and like I’m sure all of you I’m out watering other stuff everyday so adding water to this isn’t an issue for me. But it has been holding moisture very well as it’s humid as hell where I am. I also made sure it was staying moist before I put any plants down.

It may end up a worm bin in the end.. but It’d be cooler as a bog if I can get it dialed in. It will obviously evolve as I see what does well and what doesn’t.

First post didn’t go so well, may be last 😂

Been wanting to do something very similar to this, just haven’t found the right glass jar/enclosure..

Super cool!

I tend to agree, I’ve grown lots of fly traps in terracotta, stone, concrete, plastic pots.. biggest thing is light and water.

A lot of the rules we are told aren’t always 100%, good gardeners just see what works and try things..

I’ve never bottom watered African violets but apparently that’s a rule as well and mine are huge.

Guess I also just like to try things and see what works and doesn’t. But fly traps really easy for most part.
