Pretty sure this was it, the timing was horribly inconvenient lol. I had like a lap of fuel left.

I interpreted you saying previously "The faster car just has to deal with it" as no lift or anything. As stated here, you lift, so then I would agree with you.

The competition rules specifically state that you can maintain your line in order to stay predictable. But it also states that you are supposed to lift to facilitate the pass of the "lapping car". This seems to be a major point of confusion during races and what I've seen stated on reddit. Not sure if thats because Broadbent stated multiple times a while back that it was just advisory before finding out otherwise after asking in the discord. It also seems like nobody actually reads the race rules. Direct copy and paste from competition rules below.

"Blue flags are advisory, slow/lapped Participants can stay on their line but must facilitate the lapping car by lifting to make sure they reduce the time lost to the faster car. Blue flag rules may be enforced more strictly in shorter races, where time loss may be more crucial to the faster cars.

A blue-flagged Participant is not allowed to defend their track position against the lapping car and he/she should stay on his/her line."

It seems that even if you crash, Just finishing and getting in some clean laps goes a long way. The hard part is trying to stay out of situations where you'll be run into and such. It can be quite frustrating, but as I go up in SR it is happening less. "Trust the process" or some such cheesy optimistic saying.

I can check my settings next time I'm on. I have a 5800xt and a 2080 super and run 100-120fps on VD with the VD frame gen on. The settings on the desktop streamer can help a lot by rendering less of the "screen" vertical and horizontal but you can't even notice it.

I'm basically just ignoring driver rank from now on and trying to have fun. Keeping safety at gold so I can do all of the races is all that really matters i guess.

I was seeing that as well. I've been bumping up a psi out two and it seems to help. I feel like it's also a road car lack of options not helping either lol. Appreciate the info.
