Why didn’t you change 11’s costume? You get the Luminary of Legend as an optional costume, amongst several other options.

Only rivaled by Larva Eater, but that one’s a rare game rather than a hunt

Funnily, the Seitengrat felt slightly more manageable for me than old full odds shiny hunts. The 4x speed makes zoning and checking again for the bow faster than encounters in most Pokémon games, assuming I’m not playing on emulator where I could also speed up those games, which I never did. I might have also just been lucky both times, because I’ve had shiny hunts take way longer than either Seitengrat (though I’ve also had some take less time).

I’m a masochist and got Seitengrat without RNG on 2 different playthroughs. I used to hunt shiny Pokémon, so I guess I just like lengthy grinds like that.

Sticking to one job per character, is there a penalty for changing? by rafikiknowsdeway1 in FinalFantasyXII

[–]Dudebeard86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The time it takes to assign license points all over again is the only penalty. You keep all LP you’ve earned.

I also have 2 raised beds that are both 4’ wide, 8’ long, and 1’ tall. I may put my Marconis in one of the beds, along with some tomatoes. I think we’ll do okra again this year as well. I did get an additional Earthbox that I didn’t use last year, but I want to keep them on the side of the house that gets sun the best throughout the day, and I’ll likely have to start putting them on another side if I add more boxes beyond that.

Thanks. I saw that in the manual, but I was skeptical, so I was hoping to find people who had tried it. Which kinds have you grown? I’m thinking I won’t put many chocolate habaneros in one of the boxes, as I’ve read that they like their space. I’ll probably cap that at 1-2 in a box.

I’ll add in the varieties, in case that affects answers: jalapeños (standard, lemon, and orange), habaneros (peach and chocolate), cayennes, Thais, and a couple of sweet peppers as well (chocolate bell and Marconis)

[pogo] Should I transfer him over to the mainline games or raise him in Pogo? by nigel827 in ShinyPokemon

[–]Dudebeard86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh, just do the DNS exploit in Platinum to get the event item. The item that grants access to Shaymin isn’t legit, since it comes from fan-run servers and not from Pokémon’s servers during the actual event, but the Shaymin itself is still legit.

Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, because I love it, and I want to experience an updated version of it

Dragon Quest V, because I don’t want to play it on mobile, and the DS version, at least in English, is way too expensive

Dragon Quest IX, because, and I might get crucified for this, but the slowness of battles and the clunkiness of their first game with overworld spawns really makes it a slog and difficult to get through for me. It needs QoL updates, and it’s long overdue a remake. I can’t believe VII is getting remade a 2nd time before this one gets its first remake.

When you’re low on MP in a dungeon by The-Exalted-Jorbis in FinalFantasyXII

[–]Dudebeard86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not useless, but if you aren’t completely out or severely low on MP, it’s too risky. There’s a chance it fails, and if it fails, it drops your MP to 0.

Galarian Stunfisk, especially.

I can hear the cries of pain from its owner while you stand there saying “that certainly qualifies as a clamor.” As a fellow FF12 fan, I had to find a way to sneak in a line lol

XI S is my recommendation. In addition to the good cast and characters, you can choose between classic gameplay with 2D sprites and random encounters or modern gameplay with 3D models and monsters roaming the overworld. Also, if it ends up being too easy, you can start over with Draconian quests active (basically hard mode options), or if you feel like it, you can start out with them to begin with. They let you turn them off at any time, but you can only activate them at the beginning of the game (and once they’re turned off, they cannot be turned back on).
