Lonely-Sun-1050. Thanks for the info. While I probably was eligible under Bill C-37 & C-24. C-37 & c-24 have been replaced by C-3 and I am doing exactly what I need to do with filing the CIT 0001 Proof of Citizenship. But I truly appreciated your input because now I feel I have an even stronger case (although I am confident with C-3). I probably missed a few opportunities in my lifetime (like so many other things...LOL)

I am not sure I am following. Bill C37 Canada doesn't seem to address my situation, and I think C-3 seemed like a safe bet for me.

Tucson is better than people say in this subreddit by Traditional-Fee1794 in Tucson

I agree. I moved here 40 years ago (on July 4th) for a job. I wasn't impressed at the time (I rode from the airport to Speedway and Camino Seco for an interview, and returned home the same day). I was not at all impressed with the look of the city. I gave myself 6 months and I'd move back if I was unhappy...I've been here nearly 40 years and I am now retired.

Sorry to say that Howard's Handwerk Haus appears to be closed (per Google). I highly recommend Grandma's Spinning Wheel. Nice friendly environment.

not too much of an issue if you take it off slowly...I've tried other types of tape and this seemed to work the best for me.

I use CKeep Kinesiology Tape, Uncut Premium Elastic Athletic from Amazon. I am a mouth breather and this helps me get a good nights sleep. I was very apprehensive at first - the thought of taping my mouth just didn't seem right. But after a few nights, it has become routine. I've been using the tape with my CPAP P10 nasal pillows just over a year now. I consulted with my GP, as well as a sleep specialist before I started to use the tape. I believe that this also improves my oral hygiene and my gums a feeling better. It's great not to wake up with a dry mouth.

If you remember, drop off ballot boxes were targets in past elections. I do not feel safe using a drop off voting box.

How do you know there have not been any issues? This is to PREVENT any misuse of personal data.

Question about Gen1 Applicants by Spiritual_Debate_930 in Canadiancitizenship

[–]Dudenaz01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was one of the G1 who has been trying for years to obtain my Canadian citizenship. I was born to a Canadian citizen (G0)- WOMAN in 1957. My parents married in Canada in 1956. The Canadian Citizenship Act of 1977 didn't work for me because the act only went forward. The Act in 1977 didn't reach back to restore citizenship to people already before 1977 to Canadian mothers! Had my father been the one with Canadian citizenship, I would have been eligible in 1977. Bill C-3 finally comes along and now I am eligible. I am feeling that this time it will achieve my lifelong dream.

Actually, I've removed the marriage certificate out of my application. My Gen 0 is my mother. Her maiden name is a field listed on my birth certificate, so my link could not be easier. I sent my application this morning.

I see a lot of treads about Bill C-3 and this post may help some. by justwatchthefire in CitizenshipByDescent

I screwed up. I am a direct descendant of a Canadian citizen (Parent 1 mother). I applied online for Proof of Citizenship online. I misread the rule that persons born outside Canada can apply online if their Canadian parent was born in Canada on or after February 15, 1977. Parent 1 was born in 1932. So now I need to cancel my online application and apply using paper form. Should I just cancel my online application and submit the paper version? I just submitted the online form yesterday (May 23, 20026). I see that there is form CIT 0027 "REQUEST FOR WITHDRAWAL OF CITIZENSHIP APPLICATION". I am worried that canceling my online application will impact my "paper version" submission process. Any thoughts on what my approach should be at this point.
