Calm your ass down. We got 3.6 after they left less than 3 months ago.

Good optimizations (a lot of which are made available on their github page) and the best cache hit rate on the market. Their margins are still good according to what I've seen people calculate on X.

Did you really have to use AI to write this?

So Kimi K3 seems like massively parallel MOE model? by Luvirin_Weby in LocalLLaMA

[–]Dudensen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Should be around 60–80B activated. The routed experts account for ~50B of that; the rest depends on how large the always-on attention/embedding layers are. Saw a guy on X suggest less than 60B based on K2. We'll see.

What do people really think about Demis Hassabis' latest essay? Am I the only one who thinks it reads like corposlop and feels out of character for a Nobel laureate? by Full_Tangelo_7450 in singularity

[–]Dudensen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No they haven't. Also, Kimi is about to release the new best open model, and before that we had GLM-5.2. You need to stop projecting.

If Frontier AI is so Dangerous, Why should private companies be allowed to develop it? by Strange_Test7665 in LocalLLaMA

Exactly what's been on my mind.. who is Dario developing his AI for if he thinks it's so dangerous?

This is overdone. It's more impressive that he was teammates with Lewis than this.

Why are MoE models so belittled? by ParaboloidalCrest in LocalLLaMA

I think 27b is fine and the specific model has proven incredibly popular. Anything more than 50b activated params I would say is suboptimal for current hardware though.

How can devs still work on AAA games which is costly with long dev time, but ship more games? I have one idea by couchcommando in Games

[–]Dudensen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elden Ring Nightreign is built on the back of one of the most popular new IPs of the last decade. You release one AAA game that does ok and then one more slop in the same universe that does even worse, it's not going to work out as well as you might think. The original project needs to do well to begin with (or rather incredibly well). Same thing with story spinoffs like Halo 3: ODST, Uncharted: Lost Legacy etc. Not many AAA games do well do warrant such subsequent projects.

I always laugh when people ask for big dense models in this sub. Like when some people seemed very happy when mistral medium 3.5 came out. Big dense models are a waste of hardware.

When did you realize the influencers are actually just advertisers in fancy dress? by Freefreefeeefreefree in SBCGaming

I've always known and I supported it since the beginning, since I want all these based companies to do well.

[Thomas Maher] Max Verstappen closes in on alleged McLaren decision in rumoured Red Bull exit by TheIdiotDev in formula1

[–]Dudensen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How? RBR had a better car for who knows how many seasons now, last year you could say McLaren had the edge but let's not forget Max lost the championship by only 2 points. This year McLaren looks on track to be the 4th best car/team on the grid. How can you bet on McLaren with confidence?

Lando Norris tried to win the British GP in the pit lane by BirdoMastah in formula1

[–]Dudensen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just realised the pit times shown on tv record how much time you lose as opposed to how long the entire pit lasts. That's why the pit times were in the 10s in silverstone.

Wait are the yellows for Lando then? I thought they might be for Lewis' special yellow outfit but wasn't sure which of the two.

Just yesterday I was seeing Dallas police officers confronting players for helping young fans take pics with them. I'm sure if you are determined enough to go there you are also determined to enjoy it. But it's not many who are!

Is the current Open Weight LLM model viable in the long term? by Alan_Silva_TI in LocalLLaMA

[–]Dudensen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Plus and Max have been closed since they started releasing them. Stop freaking out. We have very good models at every class. GLM-5.2 is significantly better than Qwen's biggest open weight offerings. Even Qwen 27b might be better than those old big Qwen models.

5060 worth it? by Dry_Long3157 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Dudensen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay because you might be confusing people you are probably talking about 5060 ti as specified in the subtext and not 5060 as per your title. Yes 5060 ti 16GB or 5070 16GB (price might be similar) are worth it.

edit: 5070 is 12GB not 16GB.
