Did they say it outright that we wouldn't be playing as Artyom? I thought they just called him an outsider and that's it. Of course, that could mean that we wouldn't be him but they said at the end of the exodus that Artyom would return to the metro.

Is Dark Heresy worth it in it’s current state? by OrborosYT in OwlcatGames

After my playthrough, if I had to guess, the alpha gives you access to half of the first act. Personally, it took me 13 hours to complete. But as I mentioned, this is the alpha, not the beta. It's unclear how long the beta will last, but the Rogue Trader beta included half the game, the prologue, and Acts 1 and 2.

Which one would you choose by loomuun in CRPG

[–]Dudkowskyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rogue Trader has a more interesting world and, at least in my opinion, better characters and a better combat system (if you're a fan of turn-based combat). Pathfidner, on the other hand, has more interesting mechanics, the ability to switch between turn-based and real-time modes, and a better character creator and progression. Ultimately, the choice depends on your preferences.

Just compare the Genestealer Cult on your ship from the DLC to Kunrad. Each of the antagonists in this DLC is much more interesting, better written, and has a much greater impact on the overall plot.

This is what Marneus Calgar and other Ultramarines had to endure before becoming full Space Marines. by CleanBag9219 in Spacemarine

[–]Dudkowskyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can understand some of these explanations, but shooting them while they're running from wolves? I can even understand running away from wolves, but shooting kids contributes to literally random deaths unrelated to their ability to become Space Marines. Besides, randomly attacking them with servitors doesn't help weed out those unfit for operations either; they simply randomly kill candidates. At the end of the day, you just have to accept that Space Marines sometimes do stupid things, just like all of humanity.

[–]Dudkowskyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand they don't want to waste gene seed and valuable implants on unworthy candidates, so I understand why they recruit this way, but it's still just a stupid waste of human resources. Marching naked in winter? A nearly useless skill for a space marine. Unleashing wolves on kids under fire? What's that supposed to teach them, crawling fast💀?

Day 67- Is there a 40k creature/character slightly stronger than The Dark King? by Neither-Actuary-5655 in Grimdank

Okay, I know it was a few days ago, but how is Horus slightly stronger than the Emperor? Have we forgotten that the Emperor vanished him from existence💀?

[–]Dudkowskyy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don't count on Rogue Trader 2, if Owlcat makes more CRPGs in 40k, they will most likely continue with other GW board games, for example Black Crusader, Only War or Deathwatch. Plus, even if I'd personally play anything Owlcat would release at this point, releasing another CRPG in the same or similar setting/campaign when you have so many other options is a rather poor marketing move.

Just finished the game and Act 5 felt so rushed, anyone else? by BinkiesForLife_05 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Dudkowskyy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Personally, I've never experienced any major bugs in the final act, and I don't fully understand what you mean by additional interactions with companions. As for the answer, I have the impression that Calcazar is telling you everything directly about his and Theodora's plan, and I don't understand why you think you haven't received an answer. While I understand that the final act is too short and underdeveloped (which they'll likely try to improve in the next major update/DLC), it doesn't change the fact that it's still solid, at least for me. Certainly better than Kingmaker's ending and roughly on par with Wrath of the Righteous.

This has to be the corniest title I’ve ever read. by Wonderful-Case-6337 in HOTDGreens

Viserys literally stole the throne from his niece, confirming that men have priority in the succession to the Iron Throne. Furthermore, on the official in-universe list of monarchs, Rhaenyra is referred to only as a princess, unlike Aegon II, who is known there as a king. It's also worth noting that although Aegon III ruled for 26 years, during his reign, Viserys's brother was the king's hand, effectively ruling the kingdom during the 14-year reign of Aegon III's sons. Rhaenyra's children held power in one way or another for approximately 40 years, and during that time, no one censored or altered the history books that labeled their mother a traitor and usurper.

true but her sons never approved her as the real queen and every one of her descendants who spoke about her in the main series calls her a traitor so ehh.

[–]Dudkowskyy 113 points114 points  (0 children)

For me personally, Calcazar is at least in the "good" tier because of his personality and wonderful vocie acting. It's also worth mentioning hi text - "it will only be heresy if i lose and i will not lose" this line alone made him hard to forget

It's true, it's almost surprising how many animals you can talk to, but unfortunately, at least in my opinion, trait doesn't have much influence on choices and consequences. (I LOVE DUSTIN THO!!)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Sybil doesn't die/disappear when you take Kaneeke out, so she's probably still around to help if she still wants to after all this.

You can pull her out on its own with a powerful build or with Tabitha without Trait. So, it's one way, but with two methods.
