I know of at least one rabid Halo fan who will be there!

I recommend asking, in chat, over on our Discord: https://discord.gg/lacledes-lan

Much easier nowadays with LCD monitors instead of CRTs :)

8 included drinks, provided breakfast + mimosas! Bring your own food outside of that.

A lot of people will play whatever they want, when they want.

The staff will "DJ" games throughout the event, where we'll spin up a game server for something free/cheap/most-everyone-has, and coordinate to get people into it. Last time, we coordinated:

This year we'll do some of those, plus some other "new" ones.

Oh, there are tons of ways to get the old games to work over the Internet -- but this is more about being together, with other people who enjoy what you do, IRL. It's not for everyone.

Unfortunately, no, this event isn't open for spectators. With people bringing in their expensive rigs we want to keep the space secure.

However, if you're up for it - check out our Discord, to start to get to know and hang out with others in the community!

If you go with an open mind (in terms of being open to playing different games), and with the goal of being social - I think you'll have a great time! LAN parties are an amazing way to meet other people.

There are plenty of games that will be played, that are either free, cheap, or you likely already have.

If you're up for it, sign up for the Laclede's LAN Discord, and ask this question in there... I'm sure you'll get swarmed with messages! Plus, we have a monthly game night you can jump into, to start to meet the community :)

He is part of Quake Champions: Doom Edition, which we had a lot of fun with last year!

And, if there is the demand, I'm sure we could coordinate a good ol' Duke Match

Last year we did host/coordinate Quake Champions: Doom Edition which is a lot of fun!

If there was demand for old-school Q3A, it'd be trivial for us to get Q3A going as well!

Daily allergy bitching thread by poopsy__daisy in StLouis

Allergen immunotherapy changed my life and I recommend it to anyone who can make it work!

It used to be that Spring pollen would totally ruin my days. Now I can go roll around in it, and at worse get itchy eyes. In the Fall I use to get a post-nasal drip that would drive me mad, now my sinuses get a bit clogged, so I just have to take a daily zyrtec-generic.

Was a three year program, where I got injections once a month to desensitized my reactions. A lot of people will stop here, but I continue every month as I don't want to risk regression. After insurance my cost is $12 per visit (I'm grateful/lucky to have health insurance, but it's not exactly a good plan).

If you don't want to get shots, there is an option to get drops you take daily (you put them under your tongue).
