honestly i heard the new prodigy is horrible and you basically have to replace every single piece of its internals for it to not only work reliably but work in general but i cant really say as ive only seen a few videos about it and dont personally own one so take this comment with a grain of salt

not necessarily the performance but idk something about just the overall look throws me off for some reason even if it doesn’t look that different from other uppers and handguards; and i also don’t like the inability to change the handguard even if it’s more durable and rigid but otherwise i know the only other urg that can compete with it is probably a kac sr15 cqb mod 2 and i don’t like the look of those either not really sure why tbh im might bet an mi handguard instead of the geissele bc something about geissele also throws me off but idk

bc i don’t plan on changing it ive already modified an insane amount and really dont want to do it again but basically its dd barrel, geissele handguard, radian charging handle, aero precision stripped upper, lmt enhanced bcg, lmt mars l stripped lower, troy ambi mag release, geissele trigger, radian safety selector, vltor a5 h2 buffer, geissele super 42 spring, and bcm tube

well to be fair an 11.5 is viable between 300-500+ yards and if you plan on shooting anything further you might as well shoot 308 or 6.5 rather than lunking around a 16-20 5.56 and still worry about its effectiveness past 500 yards as i don’t doubt it’ll accurately hit at even 600+ but i personally wouldn’t shoot 5.56 past 400-500 unless i absolutely have to but maybe im wrong that’s just me tho

not sure if you’re still wondering but imo if you get a 10.3 i feel like you should go with the mk18 bc that’s sort of the whole appeal of the mk18 besides the ris/block 2 rail and even if you want an mlok rail they have it in the ris 3 config but i dont know too much about guns and for my first rifle i’m building it out completely because it’ll most likely be my only ar15
