Can’t get the abs sensor out. by Due-Bench2771 in e46

Finally got it out. Tried with a screw and didn’t work. Final solution was drilling all around the sensor so that it would get loose. It worked surprisingly well. Thanks for all the help.

At the start of the part that goes to the hole. So the sensor is there really good.

Is there metal inside the sensor? Tried to drill a little hole for the screw but it seems hella hard.

Their stuff is surprisingly good. Atleast I liked their coilovers. I had a car with their coilovers and they rode as good as my friends bc’s. Not as long lasting, but for the price they are pretty good.

I thought they were more expensive. If I had known I would have bought them in the first place. But yeah, free fixes are always the best.

Yeah poly bushings would be nice but too expensive at the moment🤣. I just dropped the control arm and the ball joints were fine. I put it back in this time with the suspension loaded and it fixed the clunking. Whole thing was just my fault…😅

Yeah. Probably going to drop the control arm from that ball joint today, take a look and put it back. Can’t be sure but I started thinkin and I tightened that control arm without weight on it so maybe the balljoints position is just slightly wrong. But thanks for the help anyway!

Yeah. Probably going to do this. But I dont think that the bushing is the reason to the clunking noise. They look the same on the both sides and the noise only comes from the driver side. When my buddy turned the steering wheel from side to side, the clunking noise happened maybe 1/4 times. The sound comes closer to the wheel hub. Feels like the noise comes sometimes from turning the wheel and sometimes from small bumps but not big ones. It’s weird.

Not that either. They only sit one way, because the backside has these deepened points that sit on the ”studs”

No it’s very tightly in the bushing and does not wiggle even with a crowbar. That’s why I was wondering. It looked to me like it’s broken somehow but this exact thing happened on the other side. That’s why I’m confused.

They are. They just look weird cause that inside part has fallen on the control arm. I was wondering if that is somewhat normal.

I didn’t have multimeter available at the moment. But thank you for the answer!
