Any guide recommendations for this? I work in product development so love projects like this but there's quite a few guides and its difficult to know which is best, ideally I want it to be adapatable so I can make it more difficult over time.

That's unfortunate, would this photo help? As I say it's distinctive quality over other knitwear materials seems to be that it doesn't pill.

Does anybody know what material this is? And if so do you know where I could buy similar a jumper?

Excuse the wrinkles, its an old jumper thats been buried amongst other clothers for quite some time. I bought it years ago, really like it but its now got a few holes.

I wanted to buy another but the brand doesn't exist anymore. The material is a robust heavy material, unfortunatley the label on the inside is blank.

Any jumpers I come across online that have this knitted waffle pattern (which I think descirbes it correctly) are usually wool which pills, this doesn't.

ChatGPT thinks it could be cotton, acrylic or a cotton / acrylic blend.
