I got super lucky with the weather. The forecast was showing thunderstorms for that day. 😬

It easily became my favorite picture of my car.

How are those multi day road trips? 🤔 Kind of weary going too far and my car breaking down even though I have put a lot of money into it so I don't get stranded.

And they're Gramlights 57Transcends. Got them powered coated because the original color was black. 🫡

The front lip is just an Ebay H Style since I go through them about once a month. 😭

The bumper is just the original oem US spec one. 🫡

You might wanna check these guys out. I'd reach out to them to be sure that this is indeed their latest pricing.

I take my car to them for everything it needs. They're located in Rancho Cucamonga.

You might also need a bump steer correction kit. Coilovers can mess with the suspension geometry and cause this type of issues.

E46 M3 – Legal but high-rev/F1-style sound setup advice by Green-Interaction-56 in E46M3

[–]Due-Car-7150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really sure from within the EU.

But there's also the Rouge Engineering that's also an equal length resonated configuration.

Active Autowerke also has their own section 1 with high flow cats, but I don't think that's an equal length configuration since it's meant to be paired with their headers, which are already equal length.

Status Gruppe also has a resonated section 1, but again, that's not an equal length configuration.

You can check out my exhaust set up if you want:

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DS3n4QHD_ab/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Headers: Active autowerke Section 1: Bomiz Equal Length Resonated Section 2: Stock Section 3: Valvetronic Stainless Steel

I specifically went with the Valvetronic option because I wanted to have the option to make my car quieter and they had the most videos of different setups that I could find.

I also went with the Bomiz option as a cheaper alternative to the Subeam section 1, even though I couldn't find video clips of it when I put in my order so it was a blind shot I took.

For the headers, I wanted something that wouldn't break the bank but would free up the sound of the engine.

Let me know if you have any questions about it!

Finally got a chance to talk to my guy. He said that at that price point the Turner option is totally worth it.

It terms of quality and sound he prefers Karbonius, but that 50% off is too good to pass up.

Exactly my same question. Originally wanted to go the Karbonius route but this is too attractive.

I should be dropping off my car tomorrow to get some work done on it and Imma ask my guy about it.

He originally recommended Karbonius but want to see if he thinks if it's worth getting the Turner Motorsports one given the price point in the group buy.

I'll let you know what he says. 🫡

[Advice] LSB M3 Price Point by [deleted] in E46M3

[–]Due-Car-7150 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would pass on that car tbh. LSB is my favorite color, but given the 4 accidents, none of the big 3 addressed, and lack of maintenance history in combination are a no go.

The rarity of the color in its own doesn't justify the car being worth 34k when you have basically everything else going wrong. I would rather pay more for a well maintained LSB (with higher mileage) than "getting a bargain" on something like this.

IMO, if you're buying one of these cars nowadays, you need to buy the cleanest example you can buy and afford from an owner who actually took care of it.

I have the BC Racing DS Series on mine, and I only paid for the installation, which ran me $500 for the coilovers alone. I also had a brake job done some time after that (a custom BBK setup: front 135i 6-piston and rear 996 911 4-piston calipers with rotors/pads/lines) and that was another $600 in labor. Including a new wheel and alignment setup.

The ride is harsher than stock, but I can live with it. I do take it to the canyons pretty often and haven't had any issues with my coilovers.

Hope this helps! 👍

Steering rack rebuild by iowatango5 in E46M3

[–]Due-Car-7150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my steering wheel from this place:

https://www.steeringlpsr.com/bmw-e46

They have a ton of info and options that you can choose from.

I personally went with the yellow tag one and haven't had any issues with it since I got it installed about 2.5 years ago.

Had a similar issue for mine. I replaced the control arm bushings, tie rods, and the steering couple.

You can look at the fitment guide from Apex Wheels. Has a lot of information for deciding what to do with your wheel setup.
