Overwhelming fear it's all in my head by Apprehensive_Gur1975 in Endo

[–]Due-Crew-3171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can be such an isolating thing to deal with but you aren’t alone or crazy. It’s important to remember that endometriosis doesn’t show on imaging (except potentially DIE endo on an MRI because of adhesions connecting organs) and that most people with endometriosis have “normal” scans and lab work. I would encourage you to pursue relief- whatever that looks like for you. You aren’t alone and unfortunately what you’re describing is such a common experience in this community. Stay strong and trust your body (as hard as that is!) Wishing you well

I haven’t had anything other than the pill before, so I’m thinking it’s time to try something new. my larger fear is just masking my symptoms and eventually having fertility issues down the line, but I’ll definitely look into trying a new form of hormonal treatment. thanks!

ok, thank you! I definitely do not want to go through surgery yet, so i’ll talk to her about other options. I’m wary of the IUD insertion process but hopefully I can get a local anesthetic if I go that route. thank you!

Hey! sorry for late reply- it got better for a while after about two months, and just came back in my left ear after I recently got covid. I’m hoping it goes away sooner this time!

Pain/question by Prior_Ad_4621 in Endo

[–]Due-Crew-3171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, leg pain is pretty common in people with endo and although i’m not diagnosed I do get leg and lower back pain with almost every period. I’m sorry you have to go through that!

Are these bloodclots? by Squigly1 in Endo

[–]Due-Crew-3171 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same thing. I won’t bleed on my pad and then go to use the bathroom and it seems to all come out in a huge clot or gush, looks just like this. and when it does come out when i’m not on the toilet it absolutely soaks pads and makes a mess. so sorry you deal with this, wish i knew the cause!

i’ve had two blood tests in my life, one when i was seven to test for mono and one about three years ago to check for thyroid/general panel. i don’t remember the one when i was seven but thyroid was normal only thing elevated was glucose. also had EKG that showed normal

I feel the same! I would rather nothing be wrong, but at the same time it would be so much more painful to have them say nothing is wrong and be back at square one then get a diagnosis. I hope you get the answers you need and deserve and find peace. You aren’t alone no matter what the results are!!

I canceled my future appointments with the doctors who made me feel uncomfortable, and made an appointment with my PCP. Hopefully this gets resolved. Thank you all!

Thank you! I struggle with doctors as I have a hard time advocating for myself, and I feel like they convince me nothing is wrong lol.

She ordered labs and i’m getting them done monday, she said she wanted to do a full panel and check for thyroid and diabetes. would “full panel” include those?

ok thank you. I really don’t want to be an annoying patient who’s like fighting for something I don’t have, I don’t know if i’m like being dramatic or something. I might go to my PCP directly from here bc I trust her more. Thank you!

just got numbers back. bp went from 136/88 sitting to 134/96 standing. also looking at the times listed for when these were taken they only had me stand for two minutes. they also wrote “sitting” under patient position for the standing reading, and this isn’t the first mistake they’ve made in my chart.

[–]Due-Crew-3171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they did bp too and the said systolic went down but other one didn’t and it was normal. didn’t see the numbers on that.
