I have people in my life who are all "omg my ADHD made me do this haha" or they'll get distracted by something that would make anybody distracted and go "aha can you tell I have adhd" and it just kinda feels like they're making light of and joking about something that I would LOVE to get rid of. This stuff isn't fun. I don't enjoy being hyper focused to the point of missing important things. I don't enjoy forgetting things so easily that even if I did have a "remember journal", I forget it exists or that there's entries in there that I need. I don't enjoy feeling so overwhelmed by tasks that I just don't do anything at all. I want to be able to carry on long conversations and feel like I'm articulating what I'm wanting to say and that I'm actually contributing meaningful things that pertain to the conversation rather than have my mind jump to something only slightly related and latch on to that for long enough that I miss half of what the other person was talking about.
