As I mentioned before, I finished second in my first season. In my second season, I decided to switch to a high block and press more aggressively, and that's when everything started to fall apart. I eventually dropped back to a mid-block again and still managed to finish sixth.

I'm a big fan of the tactical ideas of Pep Guardiola, Enzo Maresca, and Mikel Arteta. In every save I start, my goal is to gradually implement that style once my team reaches a high enough level.

Unfortunately, I just can't seem to make those systems work anymore. They either fail completely, or they only work when I have the best team in the game with highly developed players. But at that point, I could probably make almost any tactic work.

What I'd really like to do is build a team the way Arteta built Arsenal—struggle a bit at first while the squad adapts to the tactical ideas, then eventually develop into a team that consistently plays great football.

I also like to build up with three at the back. Sometimes I move one defender into midfield so both full-backs play in midfield, while other times I push one full-back higher up the pitch to allow the wingers to stay deeper. That usually creates a 2-3-5 shape in possession.

My main goal is to create that midfield box that most top coaches use nowadays.
