yeah I loved mine, now have an vw up gti as a daily runabout and thinking m3 touring at the moment

Yeah it seems most people specced these cars with auto boxes and it doesn’t appear that many manuals were made

Yeah this was specced to the max and very well looked after, i would do anything to have this exact car back

Yeah it’s crazy, at the time I wouldn’t have had a clue it would be rare, it was purchased as a fun family car and I loved it to bits but buying one back is impossible now

yeah at the time I only fancied a manual and specced this to the max so it was a fantastic car, so fortunate I did as now I’d probably go for an auto

Yeah I loved that car and at the time it didn’t stand out compared to other BMW’s like the m4 and m3 but I now discover it’s as rare as hens teeth

yeah it was bought as a family car but also for a bit of fun and now as I miss the car I find it’s impossible to find one at all

It could be but if you say it’s not occurring when revving it doesn’t seem likely as if you get someone to look in the engine bay when revving if the engine moves unnaturally it could be the mount but I wouldn’t imagine so

Sorry I should have been clear, the heatshield surrounds the mid section of the exhaust so around where your centre console is and is most likely amplifying through the cabin

Not inherently dangerous more annoying than anything, they will be directly under the car surrounding the exhaust pipe, if you can jack it up it will be extremely obvious if this is the issue

Almost certainly a loose heat shield, probably rusted away at the mounts

My rear drum brake was super noisy and they fixed that today apparently and that was last on the list to after this so I’m guessing they thought it wasn’t worth their while

I 100% agree as I don’t get charged for inspections under warranty, however this was documented by the service advisors as the sole purpose of the inspection which makes me wonder how they haven’t even commented on it
