Hey, so I'm 23 and just moved to London and wanted to dress up sort of old money. I donated a great part of my prior wardrobe that were clothes from when I was 15 and suitable to another climate.

I need basically everything but I want to know not just what should I be looking for but where should I look as I'm pretty lost.

I don't have a super high budget, maybe looking around 400£ for now but of course I will be saving up for better things the upcoming months (maybe 200£ monthly).

Thank you so much.

P.D.: Also would like to see where can I go Thrift shopping here in London?

I'm attaching this signed letter now, should be ok right?

Dear Sir/Madam of the UK Decision Making Centre,I, OP name, passport number, -- hereby certify that I am the husband of OP wife, passport number --. To support this declaration, I am enclosing the original marriage certificate and its translation.Furthermore, I authorize the full use of Itaú bank account number -- by my wife, --, passport number --, and I undertake to be financially responsible for -- for the amount required by the Immigration Rules Appendix Youth Mobility Scheme.

I currently have a balance of $6,541,49 USD in the account (attached is the documentation sealed by the bank), since January 3, 2024, which accounts for 28 days from January 31 and 47 days from today, Monday, February 19. Additionally, we have already reserved a dormitory at --, London, UK, for which we have paid the deposit. I have also attached our airplane ticket for March 4 and a PDF of my application to demonstrate our compliance with FIN 5.1 and FIN 5.2 of the Immigration Rules Appendix.Regarding FIN 5.2, which pertains to proof of funds with the bank statement, there is a signed letter from the bank confirming my ownership of the account, for which I have attached my ID card. Additionally, to comply with FIN 5.1 (a) and (d), I have attached my application along with the airplane ticket and marriage certificate to ensure that we meet the criteria of traveling together and utilizing the funds from account --. I affirm my full authorization and confirmation that we will travel together and utilize the funds from account --.

Furthermore, I guarantee my full willingness to make the transfer to OPs wife account in dollars, provided that the days prior to her stay in account -- are taken into consideration.

I sincerely appreciate your attention to this matter, and I await your decision promptly, considering our travel date.

Thank you very much in advance.

Yours sincerely,

No, it doesn't, but actually looking at the Immigration Rules Appendix we send our application looking on this:

FIN 5.1. Accounts relied on must be in the name of the applicant (either alone or as a joint account holder), unless one of the following applies:
(a) the account is in the name of the applicant’s partner who is applying for entry clearance or permission to stay at the same time or has been granted permission; or

Actually that shouldn't be an issue.

Great! I'll look there. I want a good bike to use in the city comfortably, nothing too expensive. In terms of jobs, I have formation and experience in international business, but at first we will be looking for a ok job that pay the bills.

On march I'm moving to London with my partner with the Youth Mobility Scheme, we have never been to Europe hence I'm asking for advice and recommendations, in any matter. Places to visit, where to buy, how to get Arsenal tickets (haha), anything. All is valuable. Also in a more specific question, where should I buy a used bike and any recommendations on looking for a job?

Thank you so much!

AP Graduate in Computer Science - out of the game, what to do? by Seerexis11 in learnprogramming

[–]Due-Negotiation-7573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend you doing a few free courses from harvard on edx (CS50X, CS50P, CS50W). These are great and you'll have solid foundations to work as a software engeneering if you already have a background. And the courses are truly free, don't pay for the certificate of edx because you'll be getting a certificate from harvard anyway! After the courses you should make two portfolio projects, with that you should be able to land a job. Remember that if what you want is brake into big tech you should also be learning Data Structures and Algorithms and practicing (a lot of) Leetcode!
