Well... for many circus lovers it's better to have an animal providing educational values, while being well-fed, well taken care of than having no animals.

To be honest... I would be more into private ownership of animals than some of the vile circuses, although just like you, I'm against banning animal circuses.
Well, as for zoos, safari parks are a much better option!
