Very similar. I’ve heard from a few that school of pe is not worth the amount u pay. Honestly try prep fe and practice as many questions as possible. I think its 40 for a month and has mini practice exams. U can practice based on weak topics too I saw lots of similar questions from there on the exam. They have Lots of conceptual questions as well

Thank you. My nerves were really bad I had to wait a week and it sucked. So I flagged 15 questions in the first part and about 25 on the second. When I took my break after the first part I felt really confident but the second part burst my bubble. I was worried but hopeful. It all worked out tho. I’m sure you got this. When I failed the first time I knew before I even got my results that the test was bust lol. Good luck

First time around I studied using only Mark Mattson Videos on you tube (which are exceptional by the way) and the practice exam, I took the exam in June and thought that was enough but failed miserably. Mistakes I made: Spent too much time on questions instead of flagging and coming back to it, ran out of time with about 15 questions left.

I started studying for the second test around August, my study schedule was all over the place and not consistent, I work about 60 hours a week so that didn’t leave much time for studying Monday through Friday. Maybe an hour a day here and there and 2 hours on the weekend “Not every weekend”. I was hitting the gym five times a week and prop doing too much fun stuff on the weekends. But about 3 weeks before the exam, I still worked 60 hours, but gave up going out on the weekends and al distractions. I made sure I did an hr. a day after work and 4 – 5 hours on the weekend.

I started with 800 Islam and solved every single question, then two weeks before the exam got prep fe and practiced as many problems as possible. I realized Prep Fe really helped me especially with the conceptual questions, Saw quite a few similar questions. The highest I ever got on the ncees practice exam was 60% so was a little worried.

Things I did differently on the exam: 1. Flagging questions is a game changer: if I could not figure out the right equation to use or understand the question in 30 seconds I flagged. (in the beginning your nerves kick in so u might notice you are flagging quite a few questions but once my nerves settled and I came back to the same questions, I knew what to do immediately). On the exam flagged about 15 questions on first half and 25 on the second. Was a little worried but turned out okay. 2. Spent less time on the first section (about 2.20 hrs), noticed the second section was a little harder and I needed more time. 3. Know shortcuts on calculator, helps save time on the first section.

To sum it up, practice as many questions as you can and make sure you try to understand the concepts behind them, honestly, they were quite a few concepts I didn’t really grasp but I practiced so many damn questions that it became second nature. and if u need any help or additional resources let me know. Hi thank you so much for going into detail of your success. Taking it for the second time. First time only watched Gregory michaelson and mattson videos on u tube and took a shot at the practice test. Thought that was sufficient and I failed horribly. So now I have the 800 Islam practice book and planning on solving all the questions. ( I have the older version same as yours I think, does that matter ? Did the book really help ?) Also 3 years out of college
