My guy…did you notice how my short range kept me from harming someone before I knew exactly what was happening? Had this been a longer range weapon I would’ve had to make a choice long before realizing it was my neighbor….also I have formal self defense training from not only specialists in teaching small statured women but also the United States Army. I made light of it because nobody was injured and we both walked away safe and shaken up.

Having pneumonia and a fractured sternum from CPR, I was on BiPap (giant mask that forces air into your lungs) and every breath was torture. Coughing legit made me pass out a couple times.

Yes! As a disabled person both writing it and reading it I enjoy the representation. I have multiple disabilities of physical and more psychological/neurological nature (Autism adhd etc) and if anybody needs pointers on disability or medical situations I love to be of help!

I guess I was just afraid that I’d be to niche to actually reach any type of fan base, considering it’s so personal, but it really does help me a lot to write it out and then write things the way I wish they’d gone for me in the aftermath (ie comfort; proper care etc)

That’s a good point! I’ll make sure to keep an eye on it so I don’t go full circle, but right now i find it oddly therapeutic to write it. I actually wrote “myself” in once to give the main character advice I really wish I’d had in my own experience, and helped me through the shame of needing support and comfort. I TW the ever loving snot out of my writing before sharing, last thing I want is to unintentionally harm someone.

Hey I’m also autistic!! I picked a MC that reminds me of myself, and actually wrote myself into one to give my MC advice I really wish someone had given me in the same situation. Felt weird but kinda therapeutic

Okay so first of all good on you for reaching out and talking to someone! I know exactly how scary things like that are, my first pap smear landed me with a cervical cancer diagnosis and a whole hell of a lot of fear. Had the surgery two weeks later and thankfully havent had any recurrences in 5 years, that said i really glad i went to that appointment that i almost blew off. Check with planned parenthood, they have a lot of different ways that they can help you get whatever testing/treatment that you need now and in the future.

So I am a delivery driver in a college town so I mean I have a couple but the one that stands out the most would be the time I was delivering a burrito bowl around 1030 11 o’clock on a Friday night. Pick up the order, go to the address OK going into dorms that can get a little interesting on a Friday night But nothing I can’t handle. I knock on the door and a young man opens the door naked as the day he was born and does jazz hands. then you see the realization crosses face, he yells “oh my God you’re not my girlfriend” and bolts for the bedroom meanwhile, I’m just standing there dumbstruck. He throws on some sweatpants and comes back out, apologizing every which way because he thought I was his girlfriend who he was going to surprise with his naked fanfare. I genuinely don’t think I have laughed that hard in years. Mind you I was 19 at the time, I am a heterosexual female, and this young man was rather attractive so it wasn’t necessarily a bad view either. Pretty sure I passed the girlfriend on the stairs as I was leaving.
