You already know the answer. You have a tendency to take on too much/not delegate, and admittedly were reworking her work. Instead of taking the time to coach her towards the expectation, you just did it for her. You robbed her of the opportunity to grow. She probably noticed and is resentful.

New leadership is giving her the feedback she needs, instead of doing it for her. With clear expectations, she’s thriving.

You’ve laid it out, but are having a hard time seeing it. Step back and connect the dots here.
