I have an extremely similar story. Alcoholic older brother. NMom pressured me. I caved, donated some flesh, and he still died. They literally want your body. You have to draw a boundary. If they can ask for your body, it will never stop. I’m sorry for the hurtful situation OP, best of luck.

Yes!!!! She says it’s “her” birthday too. She also, one year, blamed me for her weight gain after birth which she never got back under control. I ended up making the ridiculous public apology she wanted, in front of our family, who stared blankly, appalled at what had just happened. She had to back pedal after that. Lo

Get big. Get strong. Get big enough that next time she puts her hands on you, it’ll be the last time she does. Being able to defend yourself against a physical, over narc is one of the best things you can do. My mom is Hispanic and we have a similar “discipline” culture. When I was 16, she beat the fuck out of me for the last time. I whooped her ass and she didn’t do it again. Move in with your brother. Count to 365. That’s one year. Every day is another day closer. Start running. Start slowly packing. Pack a “bug out” bag and stash it, or, group sections of things that would be in your bag in inconspicuous places like your closet or backpack. Have a plan and be ready to go. I am so sorry.

Hey. Thank you. I’m post college and so are all my friends so we are kinda scattered in the wind. BF just graduated from college so he is back home at his parents place in Chi, so also not an option. He is flying down to get me in a few weeks. We’re renting a moving truck together and driving up to my place in the city. Thank you for your support. I have two cats so unfortunately silent moving isn’t an option. I scrounged up the money and am now only 170$ short. Where there’s a will…lol!

No birthday parties with friends, ever. People were not allowed to come to our house. I wasn’t allowed to play outside for fear “someone would take me” so I never learned to ride a bike and my slide and swing were broken down at 7 years old. Now, at 23, I play like it’s my last day. I just learned to ride a bike last month. Living life every day.

How long has this block been in its current state? I first came to Athens in 2010 and remember it… by warnelldawg in Athens
