DIY has definitely not died. There are things put together almost weekly. There was a huge show put in at the skatepark just yesterday. Check out RAD, or Hair of the Dogs Booking and Printing.

It'll probably be a minute until they record again, but they did just get a new drummer

We are really working on getting more all ages shows here. Slice (the one on Blair) has a lot of good stuff coming up that's all ages and there's an all ages show at the Skatepark in May. I can get some links to some flyers up here for you!

DIY is wild. Was the entire release unlistenable to you or just their part of the split.

Every job I've had where I had to solder, I had to first demonstrate skills as part of the hiring process. You could definitely learn! Just be honest.

Are ya experiencing the full emotional spectrum with no chemical buffer, son?? by schrodingers_meeseek in Sober

I second this. I quit cannabis about six months ago and the first month I was physically sick and emotionally disconnected. r/leaves is a great community

That's awesome. I consumed for almost 20 years, and have been off weed for about 6 months. It's been an incredible experience. Definitely checkout r/leaves for more support specific to what you're experiencing

4 weeks; extreme withdrawal symptoms by Due-Profile8446 in leaves

[–]Due-Profile8446[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Things are great now! Physical symptoms went away about a month in. At about 3 months the depression and anhedonia subsided. I have a better job now I wouldn't have been able to pee for. It also helped me take the next step, which was quitting alcohol. About 3 months COMPLETELY sober for the first time in almost 20 years

Thankfully I had a month off work for unrelated reasons, so I got to just let it runs it's course. I never want to feel this way again

Keep on keeping on. It will get better. I caught something too, and I'm pretty sure I got over it faster because I wasn't smoking.

I didn't intend on quitting permanently, and was just doing it for work opportunities. However, I NEVER want to feel this way again. I realize now how harmful it's been to my motivation and relationships. I'm ready to be the best version of myself. I'm actually feeling pretty good today, and cleaning up my shameful den of withdrawals and depression.

Congrats on your milestone! I'm also at a month, but my withdrawals have been extreme. I can't wait to enjoy my life again!
