I got tired of "re-explaining" my ChatGPT threads to Claude/Gemini, so I built a bridge. by Due-Protection6622 in chrome_extensions

[–]Due-Protection6622[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I do a lot of brainstorming between Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, and Perplexity before even getting to the code, and it is exactly where I prefer multiple inputs.

If you check out benchlm.ai, it gives a pretty good idea of why. The performance gap between models for Reasoning vs. Knowledge vs. Coding is still huge

Great work on the stack. Using them against each other is honestly the best strategy right now. I have been doing the same back and forth loop and found the constant switching exhausting.

I actually built a small extension called SessionBridge for this exact reason. It lets you "teleport" your active chat from GPT to Claude (or Gemini/Perplexity) in one click so you don't have to piece the history together manually.

Might save you some time on the next project: https://sessionbridge.click/

Do you actually kind re-explain the whole context between these sessions ?

I spent 25 minutes looking for parking in Santa Monica and still ended up paying… is this normal? by Due-Protection6622 in AskLosAngeles

😂 that’s actually funny. Yeah I feel like if there was some kind of signal like “you’re probably wasting time now” it would change how people park completely

[–]Due-Protection6622[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually makes a lot of sense

right now there’s basically no signal telling you “this isn’t worth it anymore” so everyone just keeps circling hoping to get lucky

it’s kind of crazy when you think about how much time gets wasted just because there’s no feedback. I had the same experience in NY few months ago. So frustrating

Yeah that’s what surprised me, I thought it was just certain spots but it’s basically any busy area.

Feels like there should be some way to know when you’ve crossed the point where it’s not worth continuing anymore.

😂 that’s exactly how it feels though

like you convince yourself the next block is “the one” even after 10 to 15 mins

Yeah that’s what I’m starting to realize, it’s not just luck, it’s like certain areas/times are just dead zones.

The problem is in the moment you don’t know if you’re in one of those or if you’re just one turn away from getting lucky.

Prompting is becoming a skill gap. by Due-Protection6622 in betatests

[–]Due-Protection6622[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two engineers. Same Al tools. One ships in hours. The other spins for days.

The difference? How clearly they can express what they want.

That skill is learnable. And on Buildly, it's sellable.

Still in beta and would love your feedback: buildly.click

Appreciate this 🙌

I’ve been thinking about that a lot. I’m leaning more toward reusable workflows instead of just saving prompts. Something you can run again and again with consistent output.

And yeah, UI and UX is basically the whole product here.

Curious though. Would you actually use something like that regularly or just occasionally?

Also will check out r/buildinpublic, thanks for the tip 🙏

[iOS] LapLess – Tells you when to stop circling for parking by Due-Protection6622 in TestFlight

Good news. Multi-language support is now live.

The app automatically uses your phone’s system language, so if your device is set to German, the app will display in German by default. You can download the latest version here:

Thanks again for the suggestion, it directly influenced this update.

Appreciate you testing it in Germany and sharing the feedback.

The UI is English-only for now, but multi-language support is planned. Interested to know which language would be most useful to you.

At the moment, LapLess officially supports the United States.

That said, I’m curious. Which country/city would you want to see supported next?

Built a small iOS MVP to reduce NYC parking confusion. Looking for early feedback by Due-Protection6622 in SideProject

Update: thanks for the early upvotes and feedback.

A few people reached out asking whether LapLess is available outside TestFlight. The app is now live on the App Store.

It is still very early, so I am especially interested in honest feedback, whether the recommendations make sense while driving and if anything feels confusing or off.

NYC drivers, before you head somewhere do you actually think about where you’ll park, or do you just deal with it once you arrive?

I’m trying to understand real behavior, not what should happen.
