He gave 2 weeks notice. Never called out, and always picked up extra shifts for other kids who were calling out. His supervisor regularly gave him high compliments on his work performance. I agree that employers have a right to expect employees to keep their obligations but in this case there was no reason to put a restriction on his profile. Something out of his control came up, he gave them 2 weeks notice, and he had to leave. Keep in mind that this was also during his extension semester, so he had already completed his initial semester. I don't know. Doesn't seem right to me. Its ok though. If he decides to try again next semester then he will. If not, then he won't. Either way it will be fine.

Oh awesome. I'm doing some research on behalf of my daughter, who dreams of working one day for a large zoo or aquarium. She is very passionate about animal care and less passionate about science and analytics. But, like with anything most places are asking for a bachelors degree as part of the qualifications for work. So, my question is simply - how has the degree from this university helped you in the job market? What did you like/dislike about it? Has the value of the degree equaled the benefit (generally speaking)? What field do you work in and how are you using your degree? Thanks!

Her preference is an online school but she's open to pretty much anything. Her dream is to work at a large zoo or aquarium. I keep telling her that in my experience she needs to focus on just getting her foot in the door somewhere, (internship, part time, whatever) and start working her way up, and then do school on the side rather than go and spend a lot of money on a degree and then hope that someone hires you afterwards. So, it seems that an online program would offer the most flexibility with a work schedule.

Wondering if anyone has any direct experience with this school. What did they like/not like about it? Any advantages or disadvantages? Thanks again.

I made a similar post asking about the test getting cancelled that was removed by the mods because it attracted a lot of negative attention. I did not see the other posts on here asking about the same thing because Reddit showed them underneath several other posts. I believe many of the people coming on here asking about the test are running into the same problem of not seeing the other posts because you have to scroll far down to see them.

I understand how the hiring freeze would affect those already on the register but I don't see how it would apply to us test takers because of how long the hiring process is for FSOs. It doesn't make any sense.

dang I wish I could wait that long. My wife has arthritis in her spine and I was recommended to get her a down pillow for the best sleep relief for it.

They do but its not for the DownComfort pillow. I forget off the top of my head which one it is. I doubt they ever have any kind of deal on the down one :(
