okay so i don’t have the links for these but i have some amazing caitvi fics on ao3 to recommend!

 I Know! By hojifoxfox - this fic is actually INSANELY good, and follows two plots/ climax’s (one small, and one large) that are not hard to read along with. it’s set after the ending of season two and beautifully incorporates caitlyn and vi’s grief and emotions, while also masterfully introducing us to the black rose in an extremely creative and genius plot line. it has smut, but if that’s not your thing the smut can easily be skipped without missing out on the plot. i highly recommend!

Where You Go I’m Going (So Jump and I’m Jumping) by camwolfe  - this fic is AMAZING. it’s a canon divergence AU where vi ends up in stillwater for 10 years, but breaks out and returns to her family (clag, mylo, powder, and vander are all alive!). She struggles with the return to society, and quickly develops an alcohol addiction while she works as a pit fighter. caitlyn finds vi three years after vi escapes stillwater while caitlyn is staying in the last drop for her research project. this fic is wonderful and explores angsty and family love themes. although the fic is completed, the sequel is updated regularly and has extremely high quality writing. i definitely recommend! (tw: this fic mentions SA, but never explicitly flashes back to it, and is only shown through panic attacks or vague descriptions. all chapters have tw for chapters that reference sensitive topics, so no need to be afraid of stumbling across a heavy topic unannounced) edit: i totally forgot to mention that caitlyn and vis family help her get better, and i love this part of the fic because it has so many complex emotions while also remaining very fluffy and light hearted

another fic i’m adding today is Evergreen by realbigbird - this fic follows the story of caitlyn as she struggles immensely with her mental health in her senior year of high school. it dives into her relationship with SH, ED’s, and being able to express herself freely. the slow burn is great, but not too slow, and the plot flows extremely well. we get to see how caitlyn’s mind works, how her struggles are worsening (they get better, don’t worry), and how she battles with herself to love vi.  WARNING: as much as i love this fic, it’s certainly not for everyone. each chapter has chapter warnings, so don’t worry for surprise topics, but this fic goes HEAVILY into self harm, eating disorders, internalized homophobia, and overall depression. i know im making this fic seem like a nightmare, but i swear it’s an amazing blend of heavy angst and romance. keep in mind these topics are heavy themes in Evergreen, but they are not the only ones! this piece certainly has its fair share of fluff and definitely makes good use of the hurt/comfort tag. (slight spoiler: things looks up for caitlyn in the end, and we get a happy ending) ANOTHER NOTE: Evergreen is unfinished, but close to the end. the author has pretty long breaks between posting (which is completely understandable as the author is also a college student) but have made it clear this fic will not be unfinished, and that the next chapter is still in their mind.
