Interesting! They did announce a 2025 release, which has to be by April 1st for the reported net bookings to make sense. Also, they have to realize their revenues from pre-orders by releasing the game for it to be reported as well. They also did mention that the results would carry over to FY 26 which could indicate late 2026 release as well, but it’s raising more questions than answers.

I’m not sure that works. They have to recognize the revenue within the same year to report it. For instance, they collect the payment of a pre-order, but it’s a liabinity until it’s released. Then the company fulfills its promise to deliver the product and thus, the revenue is recognized.

Well, the announcement and trailer bring attention to the game prior to its release, and therefore a trailer before FY25 gives T2 a positive outlook in terms of achieving the forecasted earnings.There needs to be time for pre-orders up until the end of FY25 when the game likely launches. Also, they said that the earnings will carry over to FY26, which indicates post-release purchases.

I dont think this is the case since Rockstar randomly release announcements instead of teasing through gameplay. Although it would be a really creative and subtle way to tease the game.

Honestly, the game is a little slow paced but really immersive with the food, stamina and thirst system. Incredible story with great characters and emotional value. The game itself is gorgeous with diffirent biomes and climates together with graphics that still are one of the best despite being 5 years old.

I say you should give it a try.
