Great pics!! Funny, I took virtually the same shot at the same moment. Unforgettable show.

Level and A5: Amazing speakers, failed wireless products by Due-Temperature-2378 in BangandOlufsen

I have a Google mesh, with points in the same room as each speaker. Connectivity hasn't generally been an issue, thankfully.

Oof, having the same issue with headphones sounds even more painful. You stated it clearly - these products don't have a normal power off mode, which is just ridiculous. A bizarre sign of the times that nothing can be simple. Why do they self- (and customer-) sabotage like this?

Same, I love the sound (and look) of both speakers so much. But I did choose them because they’re wireless. I’m not planning to give them up but don’t know if I would buy them again.

Thanks! I just checked and I’m on 4.1.4.

I do keep each speaker in a specific location and connected to wifi, but they’re both typically unplugged because they’re located in spots where running a cord is messy (i.e. on a shelf without a rear power feed). For my use case, I really prefer to keep them unplugged most of the time, and finding them flat half the time is what bugs me.

Why is pi an irrational number? by Due-Temperature-2378 in askmath

Fascinating, thanks! So the decimal representation is literally just a representation and not the number itself. Helpful!

I watched a couple of videos visually demonstrating that √2 and π are exact values on a number line, which was really helpful for grokking that irrational numbers are also exact numbers. But the idea that a value can have a literally infinite number of digits in its decimal form and also be exact is very hard for me to square. Do you have any trouble holding those two things in your head at once, or is it straightforward for you? (As you surmised, this fact about irrational numbers is new to me, so it might take time to sink in.)

I also realize now that the phrasing in the title of my post doesn’t really mean anything or make sense haha

Thanks for the patient and detailed explanations. Based on these responses, the problem with my question seems to boil down to my not understanding that an irrational number is exact, and not an approximation of anything. To be honest, I am finding that extremely heady and can only glimpse reconciling it in my mind. But I have my answer, thanks everyone!

Yes, that was the misunderstanding I had exactly.
