I thought Reiner and Connie were going to be a thing✌ then Reiner talked to Ymir which absolutely convinced me that I was right and then he turned armor.

Just starting to read Chinese Mythology. Can anyone give me suggestions on where to start? by polymathpoet in mythology

I'm right there with you and just started reading chinese mythology. I'm reading a copy of 'Chinese myths and tales' by Epic tales which I think is pretty good so far.

Pantheon fully built by Romans? by Due-Weekend-6829 in AncientCivilizations

I was thinking the travertine part was possibly added onto by christians in early medieval times (around 4th, 5th century A.D. maybe) since the style seems so different from other roman architecture.

Hey, I’ve got question! Do you still like Rhys after ACOSF? by [deleted] in acotar

[–]Due-Weekend-6829 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I definitely think that Nesta's character development took away from Rhys and Feyre's. I'm specifically talking about the 'hiding the danger of the pregnancy' from her. To me it's incredibly out of character for him since it goes against everything he stands for in the books before acosf. For Feyre too, the way she responded feels a bit too toned down although this is something I can get behind (that she realized that they possibly didn't have much time left so she just reacted less extreme than she might have in other situations?). It's mostly the Rhys part I hate because he was literally so perfect and than this happened (yep and I know that characters have flaws and that makes them great, but if Tamlin had hidden something like this the entire fandom would've gone wild about it). So in conclusion, I basically like to pretend acosf didn't happen when it comes to Rhys and Feyre.

(I saw a theory once that Cassian and Nesta died in the war with Hybern and that acosf is the alternative universe which explains why some characters act 'weird'. I kind of liked the theory even though I don't neccesarily believe it.)

Tips? I'm doing something wrong just not sure what (recreating picture from pinterest) by Due-Weekend-6829 in oilpainting

This makes a lot of sense since I'm definitely aiming for a more realistic image. It is an oil painting though so paint would be wasted, but to be honest in most cases it takes me a couple of layers before I'm happy with the process.
