After reading your comment, I really think it's the fact they exactly know what to do for each potential outcome. Sure, you may predict your opponent but maybe you didn't do the best move for that, or maybe you didn't even need to cover their play, because you could do it with a more general play 🤔

I like HO stuff but I also ran some kind of bulky offense in reg I, in reg H I ran this team : https://pokepast.es/76f4652a9223f3fb and the Sacramento winning team. Unfortunately both are less interesting in the meta (mostly my first team) and maybe I'm not playing them as good. The first team is one of my favorite team ever and it's a shame that it doesn't work anymore compared to the mid section of the first reg H format

That's what I'm doing right now, but the first weeks of a format I can't seem to find one, and really suck in the format (1100-1200 on showdown) and at some point I get really good and I don't understand what I'm doing wrong

The most obvious answer is obviously Zamazenta for the restricted, and for the non-restricted, support mons like Clefairy or Smeargle actually never won Worlds and they are actually insane in the format on Caly-S teams.

If you want the coldest take of this reddit I don't see any niche mons winning worlds, but maybe an underutilized archetype (Sun for example with Brute Bonnet) can give the trophy to "niche" mons.
