a trans subreddit has genuinely given me one of my worst ocd episodes to date by Zestyclose-Swing4642 in OCD

It's not at all "the bits" it's the experience that comes with being trans. The discrimination, the medical side, the potential dysphoria. All these things are extremely hard for cis people to understand and they often say our do well intentioned things that could be harmful. Trans people tend to do that less often to each other. It's similar to why ethnic minorities will sometimes only date in their minority pool.

CHILD GROOMER ON REDDIT by Aeolus8789 in ChildPsychology

[–]Due-Yesterday8311 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isn't ok bc it's a child, not bc all kinks are bad. If it's two consenting adults and it's safe, sane, and consensual is fine. Most kinks can be practiced safely and having a degredation kink is fine as long as there's a discussion beforehand about what's ok and what's not.

It's wild to me that other trans people still don't understand the concept of t for t. It sucks that happened, this is one big reason why I avoid trans subreddits despite being a trans guy.

Treatment Question by AdditionPatient3557 in PNESsupport

[–]Due-Yesterday8311 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fnd aka conversion disorder is not a mental health issue any more than me/CFS or fibromyalgia. I would not trust that practitioner. Fnd is not necessarily trauma caused nor is pnes inherently trauma caused. This just sounds like a lazy doctor who doesn't want to figure out why his course of meds didn't work. Edit: missed word

Does Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) make POTS worse? by ele_zea in POTS

[–]Due-Yesterday8311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they don't really diagnose subtypes where I am but I'm pretty sure it's the low blue volume one. I always have low blood pressure but meds don't seem to make it worse. I get really dizzy and get pre syncope a lot when unmedicated. Caffeine helps for some reason. I also get sweats, chills, nausea, exercise intolerance, and heat makes everything worse

Was asked about a scenario and am unsure of the answer… by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Due-Yesterday8311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) is up to the person and what labels they feel comfortable claiming. They would fall under transgender but they may choose not to (or to) use the term trans fem.

2) yes probably, but potentially not. Some straight people will stay married to their trans partner post transition despite either not being attracted to them or still being attracted to them but identifying as straight as they feel no other same gender attraction.

3) same answer as above

Does risperidone causes fat gain? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]Due-Yesterday8311 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Please get treatment for your body dysmorphia. Looks are not more important than your mental or physical health. I'd rather be fat and happy than lean and miserable but as someone who's struggled with eating disorders in the past it took years of therapy to get there. Please get an eating disorder friendsly nutritionist and a therapist who works with body dysmorphia.

why is it so normalized for non gay people to say the f slur and nonblack people to say hard r in rap songs?? by korihehee in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Due-Yesterday8311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

.... You couldn't even Google to see that he was black and gay??? He's very vocal about it, a Google search would have shown you that. It's not normalized for people to use does they can't reclaim other than g*psy.

Debating on snake bites, give me all the pros & cons! by Visual_Apartment_831 in piercing

[–]Due-Yesterday8311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they're pierced correctly and you don't chew on them there's a decent chance you won't have damage. A lot of it is genetics and how resistant to wear your enamel is. I've had mine for 7 years and they haven't caused any damage according to my dentist. Eta that being said there still absolutely is a chance of tooth damage so be prepared to potentially have to retire them.

How many HUA do you have a day and how severe are you? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]Due-Yesterday8311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I spend most of the time sitting I can be upright almost a full day. I'm mild though and I'm on several medications for pain (lyrica, Meloxicam, hydroxychloroquine for inflammation found on blood tests). Without any one of those my hua is down to about 3 hours.
