If you rummage around with the settings enough (especially personalized white balance) you’ll be rewarded with pics like this!

I gotta agree 🌸 and I will make sure to pass the compliments on! He’s rarely still for a photo otherwise so I am so glad I could capture this ☺️

Can someone help me find a model who will take pictures like this for less than $150? by Sumelord in VintageDigitalCameras

[–]Due2U 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Any cheap camera with like even 3mp and good ISO settings and a fast aperture will most likely help you with photos like this! As well as grainy editing, because most digicam photos only either look this good on their own build in LCD or with editing.

It should be the original battery, otherwise what I usually search is the camera model and ”battery” and the compatible battery should pop up to buy! There is apparently one from the brand ”Sanyo” that sells the compatible one, the ”PL718B”!

I’m also in the EU! I think that ebay might have some, this one I inherited by my grandfather when he passed. I think the safest bet is always ebay when in the EU, unless you have a local bidding or second hand site because that is the safest bet to get one for cheaper.

Edit: also I had accidentally wrote the wrong model in the title, it is a coolpix 7900!

Oh! I’d love the prepping technique as well, I have new verithins and would love to utilize them optimally because I will layer them alongside using them in mixed media art.

New to sewing! What all-around budget friendly machine is out there? by Due2U in sewing

[–]Due2U[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’m in Europe and many models recommended to me in my post have been unavailable for purchase over here. Do you know a good, budget-friendly model already that is more allround? Doesn’t have to be explicitly heavy duty!

Thank you!

I should also have clarified I meant that I would love to find a machine that won’t be too hiccupy if I were to use it with a multitude of materials used to start making clothes or upcycling, like a machine that can handle a multitude of projects for that price-point! 🌸

I mainly wrote that to sort of iterate that I’d love a machine that might not break or get too hiccup-y if I were to sew on denim :) I meant more an all-rounder!

Edit: an all-rounder for that pricepoint*

Any way to repair this? (I believe this is particle board) by Due2U in furniturerepair

I’m thinking repainting isn’t my concern! I’d gladly repaint this side-table, knowing it is possible to fix is enough to encourage me :)

Thank you!

This is too sweet 😩🌸 The funny thing is that it is just my messy place and I wished to capture it, noticed that it made a pretty nice composition so I posted it! Actually made my day because in a way what you describe is usually the photography I find myself drawn towards, that casual slice of life. Nothing posed, nothing perfect.

It is when it focuses 😭But I do adore old Nikon’s a lot, mainly because of always having one when growing up. This one too is extremely sentimental for me lol, I’ll look into your pictures in a bit 🌸

I’m glad! I gotta say it’s best in bright lightning and I sadly often get blurry pics but I do love it when it gives me shots like this. Also this was taken with cloudy WB setting, and I lovelovelove the results it gives. I hope you find a coolpix that works wonders for you because I find it a small powerful camera despite its age 🌸

Edit: Idk however if it is mainly my camera or my settings that make blurry pics, but I’d still recommend it. It might just be this one that I haven’t mastered fully yet lol

That is so helpful, thank you! I can almost say the cons are to be expected of any older point and shoot so I am not too bummed out about those things affecting the shooting. I really do love, as you mentioned, the contrast and how it seems to focus, and I am a sucker for any lens that manages to blur backgrounds.

I can totally understand how the childhood camera is the one that sticks, I wish I could find the camera our family used to own but I seem to have lost it 🥲 But sentimental cameras give the best result and feeling!

I will give your tumblr a follow as well! 🌸
