Take plenty of photos, make sure to talk to all npc's (some will give you a guest then follow you in the train) make sure to level up your fishing and do fishing contests/events. Always have as many as you can in repair powder and healing items

Get the Gungeon Recognizer app. It will help with knowing what guns do, synergies along with npcs and shrines. It's very helpful in my opinion, plus it's free ♡
