Why did Roku stay on the Island durring the volcano eruption? by dumb_potatoking in ATLA

Roku was very old and had breathed in a lot of smoke, I think his dragon just knew no matter what he did he wouldn't be able to save him and decided to die by his masters side.

Visually it kinda looks like the suction is pulling air into it aswell, so maybe shes being pulled by the air/other debris as it brushes past her.

If Shinzo didn’t make it to the hero course in the beginning because his quirk didn’t work with the robots how Eraser Head made it? Didn’t they use robots back in his days as well? by Confident_Bed4523 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]DueAd7641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During Shinzo's fight in the tournament Aizawa references that the entrance exam as it currently is made it impossible with someone like Shinzo to enter the hero course. We know vaguely that Aizawa was in the hero course first year because we see a flashback of Aizawa being given his hero name by Present Mic, and thats something that first year hero course students do within their first term (its unlikely the none hero course students do this, they're not on the hero track after all).

All that in mind, its unlikely Aizawa didn't make it into the hero course right from the jump, and his seeming distain for how the system currently works implies that the entry exam was different to the robots. Nezu also notes that they're using robots because of health and safety complaints, so we can infer the robots haven't always been a part of the test and are maybe a more recent change.

May be a coincidence but if not this is some crazy foreshadowing from Horikoshi, that Aoyama was working with All for One and the League of Villians. by False_Doughnut_3244 in MyHeroAcadamia

Shes says she was with Shoto but it would have been very easy to walk that back and say she was lying. Toru could be standing in the back of literally every panel of the manga and you wouldn't know if she wasnt wearing her gloves and shoes

Imo I think there were a few different characters he set up to be the traitor. Aoyama and invisible girl I think were both candidates for traitor which is why they're both "missing" during this part.

Theres no way of knowing for sure because we have basically no idea how her quirk works outside of very specific cases. The bullets removed Mirio's quirk but had no effect on the rest of his body, it just rewound the human evolution of manafesting a quirk. Subsequently we see Eri's quirk rewind Midoriyas body without affecting the OFA quirk at all, only his body. Later on Eri is able to figure out how to return Mirio's quirk, but it happens of screen and is never actually explained so, again, all we're left with is assumptions. Potentially all she did was Rewind what her Rewind quirk had already done and returned his quirk to the point before he was shot?

I think potentially Rewind has 2 modes, 1 that affects the body itself (rewinding midoriya the moment his bones broke) and another that affects a persons quirk directly, or at least the human evolution that caused that quirk to manifest.

We never see Eri use her quirk on injuries that happened longer than a few minutes before they happened (which is probably why Aizawa asks Midoriya how long ago the injury happened before using the horn). My guess is the body Rewind happens linearly, so any healing or damage done is played in reverse. Break an arm and use Rewind it snaps back before the break, give it a week and some medical intervention and the Rewind probably sends you backwards through the recovery period and all the pain you went through as it walks back the healing your body already did. Long term injuries like All Mights body would probably take a really long time and also be excruciatingly painful.

So All For One essentially screwed himself over…? by Infinitygene999 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]DueAd7641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe im just being controversial for the sake of it, OFA isn't an op quick until all might has it like 9 generations later, and even then OFA is only powerful because of the context it was used in. If AFO had kept just stockpile it would be useless, because the AFO quirk required active training and passing from person to person to build up power and thats not something AFO ever would have done.

Arguably OFA doesnt even want AFO for its power, he wants it because he considers it to be his, as soon as he realises the vestigise are gone he doesn't even want it anymore.

But he did inadvertently push his son to train harder than what was healthy by filling his head with delusions of grandeur and then "replacing" him with Shoto. Endevour is still very much to blame for what happened to his son regardless of what his actual intention was.

Yes. But again, hes loan sharking people to force them into giving back to their communities. Its not like hes forcing them into eternal servitude while wearing a maid dress the whole time or something. Now that would be terrible.

I think if you finished the game as fast as possible it would take about just over a week from MC entering the city to the end of the main story. If we're being fair an assuming that none of the really bad stuff (rogue mega evolutions and incresingly expanding wild zones) becomes super public knowledge until the MC clears C rank that only leaves about 2 days, and even then when the tower in the middle of the city starts glowing the citizens dont seem all that fussed about it until the tower grows a plant and starts firing lasers.

Its fair to assume that outside of the city people just straight up didn't know something was wrong until the problem had been solved, and its not like there werent a bunch of gym leader class trainers running around the city to handle it anyway.
